Gears of War is and has always been an Xbox exclusive. This new version brings back all the elements we loved about the original along with progressive enhancements that do not take away from the game in any way. Graphics are good, action is great and difficult levels allow causal to hardcore players to experience fun or challenges. Great replay-ability and online play. One of Xbox One's finest!

This game is my sons favorites he likes the graphics and the story line of the game.

I finally stepped up to XBox ONE from my 360, mostly because of this game. I've enjoyed the previous games in the series, so it was just a matter of time before I bought an XBox ONE (for the holidays), and bought Gears 4 immediately following Christmas. Truth be told, I haven't opened either yet. Work keeps me busy, but I hope to be enjoying this A LOT after I finish my taxes.

I have always enjoyed the Gears of War Franchise and this is a really good addition to the series! Really good story and amazing graphics !

You can look at this game in two ways: It's a good game for what it is, but it's also not that good because it feels like they put a skin one of the previous games. I will try not to spoil the game. It had one big surprise for me which I was happy about and towards the end of the game, just when it's getting good, it's over. It is very similar to previous GOW games. One of the multiplayer modes is in the campaign, which I didn't came for. There is a HUGE gap between GOW3 and GOW4 which really isn't explained. Well, pretty much, none of the story is explained. Though the prologue chapter let you play some mission that take place before GOW as a regular gear. You have two protagonists to worry about, I didn't know why one was chasing me and the other was like, really?! Again?! Also, one is dreadfully similar to HALO and Destiny. While some said it's the flood all I kept thinking is SIVA. I don't play GOW PvP so maybe that's where there fun is. The controls are the same, the graphics are good, the joke are old and not funny from characters you're not attached to. If you want it for your collection, get it. Never played GOW? You'll probably like but I suggest playing Ultimate GOW and the free copies of GOW2 and 3 which come as DLC.

Great story, great graphics and overall great game. Any GOW fan should pick this up.

This is a fun game. My introduction to the Gears of War series since I didn't grow up playing Xbox. Delivery was fast and easy too.

I bought this game when it went on sale and it makes the game that much better. Gears was a great franchise on the 360 but was just meat heads running around. This game still has meat heads but also characters you can relate to. Definitely recommended

Honestly, its more Gears. Nothing has changed from the meta of Gears. Controls are the same. What makes this installment better in my opinion is the inclusion of another enemy type apart from the "swarm/Locust" we all know and love. The DBs are a force to be reckoned with. Also, they have added a slew of weapons which are all incredible. I do highly recommend this game to any Xbox One owner.

Best multiplayer. Best campaign. You can feel the violence through the controller.

I'm the rare person who is a fan of the XBox One iterations of Microsoft's core franchises (Halo 5 and Gears of War 4), simply because the gameplay options have greatly expanded. Gears of War 4's Horde and Multiplayer modes are a ton of fun, and the single player action has a few new, original wrinkles. The story in this one is clearly just a placeholder for future sequels, and not a whole lot actually *happens.* If you don't have a problem with this and just want a fun co-op or multiplayer game, I recommend it.

If you played the previous GOW game, then you won't be surprised by this game. The graphics are nicer on XBOX One, but with so much action going around, it's all a blur. Gameplay feels exactly the same as previous games. There are some new weapons and new enemies, but it all feels the same. Multiplayer didn't change much either. And the storyline is blah. If you enjoyed the previous games, you'll probably enjoy this one too.

Gears is back and better than ever. Graphics are amazing. Campaign, although somewhat shorter than I expected, was fun and I played on hardcore my first time. Online is visceral and brutal, but teaches you through these initial encounters. Like all online games, sometimes you will be pitted against ab opponent whom you can just tell plays this game way too much. Fun overall for whole family.

The graphics are amazing on my 4K tv. Just a great all around addition and story.

I am a multiple console owner and by far out of all the systems (PS4, X1, Wii U), this game looks better than anything I have played across the board. The gameplay is fun as always. As for the story, I haven't been following it too much coz I am mostly playing this cooperatively with a friend and we are always talking over it. It's a really fun coop game and the multiplayer is fun as well.
