Even thought this is titled Gears 4 keep in mind this is the 5th game in the franchise. Don't let this scare you since you get all 4 games for free if you buy this game. It has all the classic elements from the Gears franchise but passes the torch down to new characters. Highly recommend if you're down to shoot some bad guys and cut them in half with some humor. Not for kids.

I've played about halfway through so far and am pleased with overall gameplay and graphics. I've put in 1,000+ hours of gameplay between Gears 1-3 and Judgement. The Robots are a welcome addition but different. It's hard to not compare this game to the past games, to me it feels like a younger inexperienced group of characters that are not really soldiers but regular civilians. Will probably appeal more to the 30 and under group. Still a good game with the same feel at least with gameplay and Unreal Engines graphics.

The game was a lot of fun but it goes by very quick. Total if 10 hours max. SPOILERS*** Game ends very abruptly. No real ending.

I have played all the games in the series. I was not sure how the new developer would use the franchise. But after playing the first chapter, I can say the game is in safe hands. The gameplay is familiar to previous fans of the series with some new mechanics that are well implemented. Coop is a blast and the story while cheesy is a fun rude. Excellent game, well worth the price.
