I was expecting a good but not great game, but I am really surprised and amazed. I've played for hours, the graphics are great and the playability is excellent. I would recommend this game.

This game is a great buy. The graphics are great and it has hours of gameplay. I love how it has all of the other Gears games included in it as free downloads. My kid thought of it as getting 5 games for the price of one. Win! :)

Gears 4 is a game of the year contender for me. Great tight gameplay with a good cover system. Visually, looks amazing. Best weather effects thus far even surpassing my personal favorite Mad Max. Just an overall excellent game. The ending is a letdown because of how it ends but what a journey to get there. Recommended.

This game is a lot of fun to play with friends and the story is alright, though not really the same level as the original series by Epic Games. I like that it came with download code for the Gears 1-3 plus Judgment and the fact that Xbox One is backwards compatible makes it that much better of a value for gamers.

I've had a lot of fun playing the coop campaign with my friends and I really appreciate how they kept split screen mode as many games don't offer that. Multiplayer was great except you cannot unlock anything with skill and instead you're forced to gamble your in-game currency for random loot you don't even want.

Love the Gears series! Campaign was shorter than I had hoped. Finished it in 9 hrs and was slow moving through the acts. Horde mode is great. Still trying to figure out the card-based achievements and upgrades for online play.

Gamers will notice how well this plays in line with the other games despite having completely different developers. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but does enough to make it feel new enough to be worth your time. Worth picking up and will Make an awesome gift for the mature gamer on your holiday list this Christmas!

The game was a gift for my nephew however he enjoyed it.

xbox one x all the way!!!!! 4k gears of war must baby!!!

Bought an xbox one just to play this game. I loved playing gears of war 2 on 360. When I saw this one was coming out on XB1, I had to have it. Graphics are not too much better compared to 360 but the game play is amazing.

Was able to pick this up on a sale with gamers club for like $15-$20 love the gears franchise, so a no brainer especially that cheap for a game out fairly recently. Decent campaign, but I love playing horde mode with friends.

This game is awesome! If you liked any of the other 4 games, stop reading this review and go buy this game. The graphics are superb. The sound is spot on. Buy the Ultimate Edition so you get the bonus packs and the season pass.

Great value for the money. The version I bought came with all the Gears of War games so I definitely got my money's worth. The game itself isnt bad and is fun it you enjoy 3rd person shooters.

Picked up Gears 4 during black friday for 30 bucks. For 30 bucks this was a great buy due to the content available for gameplay i.e. campaign, horde and multiplayer. Gears 4 has a lot of value for being on sale at the time.

What else can I say....one if my favorite games to play

The single player campaign was well written and the graphics are gorgeous. Lots of plot twists and nice variety of environments. I haven't touched the MP yet. The campaign took me about 12 hours on a higher difficulty setting.

After the bland Gears of War Judgement , I didn't have high hopes for this. But as it turns out - it's fun, diverse and very well paced. By the end of the campaign I was sad it was over. Looking forward to the next sequel!

Gears 4 continues the action packed game play we have all come to expect! New characters and new enemies' to destroy. BUT we all now the multi-player is what we love! It's as great as ever! have fun Delta...I mean gear heads!
