Been debating on buying it since it's not the original characters and everything but I'm super glad I did it's an awesome game and can't get enough of it lately

I bought Gears of War 4 because of the new updated graphics for the Xbox One X. And while it is pretty to look at, the game play is the same exact cover n shoot mechanics from the first one. If I was more into the narrative, ala Uncharted, I probably would not care, but I am just not invested in this story or characters much anymore. That said, it's a great looking game, and if you are new to the franchise or just a big fan you are sure to enjoy this addition to the franchise.

With the new Xbox One X, this game will run on 1080p 60fps. Amazing for Campaign and Horde mode.

Really well made game for any xbox one owner. Shows off how good games can look this generation of consoles. Solid story in campaign. Fun classic feeling gears gameplay. Intuitive new mechanics and weapons. Horde mode is a blast online with its new class system. Something for everyone in this game.

I have played all the gears games to date and this one just follows suit with a great single player campaign. In the past few installments of gears of war horde mode has been included which in my opinion is one of the games greatest multiplayer features. I would definitely recommend picking this game up if you get the chance. I would say a $40 price point is a fair value for this games content and quality.

As a big fan of the Gears series, I was very happy with this new entry. Definitely recommend for any fan.

Campaign mode has been fun to play so far. Graphics galore and plenty of gore. Seems like everything on the screen reacts to destruction. I got it for a great price so I can't complain. I played online a few times and the different types of games are interesting. Large maps and plenty of action.

Fun game to play with others awesome games if your into using all the buttons on your controller

This isn't the best game in the series but it's not that bad. It's a great showcase for 4K HDR.

Wow! I finally got around to finishing the story and i have to say that i am even more excited to see what happens next! The graphics blew me away. The addition of using HDR made some scenes just so beautiful. The moon, the dark to light clouds, the colors of the world. Amazing. Play this game!

I really liked this game especially having played the original four games in the series. They have a great connecting story to the original and the game play remained the same as the first four. This game is great if you want a different type of shooting game than battlefield or call of duty

Great game, and the free games were an awesome bonus. Coming from some on who was late to the party, it has given me a chance to catch up and beat all the games. Refreshing to see a game company do something for the fans instead of repackaging an "Anthology" or "Collection" for extra profit.

Gears of War is a great game! Graphics are outstanding! I highly recommend this game for all!

I purchased this game during the Black Friday specials. Not bad for $15. Looks great on XB1X.

There isn't much new in this game but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! Story and gameplay continue from the previous game and is instantly familiar to anyone who has played. This is also probably the best (albeit not perfect) spot to jump in if you've never played any game in the series!

This is a textbook case of new and familiar. The story progresses from what we have known, and this title does a good job taking the series back to its roots. Even though I was entertained, I was not blown away. Therefore, get this game on sale rather than paying full price. Also if you can get this on sale with the original 4 games, and you are new to Gears, then this will be worth your while.

The gears of war franchise is famous for its unique style of gameplay. Most games have a traditional way of how to play it. This game is different. Running and leaning into cover and then firing like crazy never gets old. The action is relentless and it's one of those few games that you can play in HDR if you have the appropriate console and TV, so this game looks amazing,

Gears 4 is great. Amazing even. From Campaign to Multiplayer to Horde 3.0. Everything The Coalition did to make this game great worked. This is a must buy for any fan of the series.
