I have always been a fan of the Gears of War series. This game is what brought me back to gaming after I thought I was never going to buy another console. I enjoyed the campaign mode, even though many of the game mechanics stayed the same. I liked how in the game there are younger characters that add more of a relatable feel to the game but there are also the older gears that give you that battle-hardened grit that fans of the series have come to know. Maybe its nostalgia... but i like this game.

Gears of war has always been a great game but I don't understand why this newer version only allows you to do 2 player Co-op in the story mode while the previous version allowed 4 player Co-op in the story mode. The core story follows 4 characters on screen most of the game so WHY NOT be able to have friends control the other characters. The game is a solid game and fun to play but I just wished the developers thought to build on the previous versions and improve rather than take away.

This game is exactly what Gears needed to be to reboot the franchise. There are a few minor hiccups along the way, poor spawns on versus multiplayer being the biggest offender. Hopefully they can fix this problem, or prevent it with future maps. The new weapons are also hit or miss, but don't break the game in the way the retro/sawed off changed Gears 3. Everything else is exactly how you would want a new gears game to be! Overall, very happy with TC's first entry in the franchise!

I've loved this game from the start. Preordering this game did not disappoint. I'm so happy we now have a good game for the xbox one. I'd say this game is on par with Gears 2, but not quite as good as Gears 3. I think their next release will take it a notch further too. I love horde, but miss the beast mode.

I didn't have any games from this series, but with the Ultimate Gears Pack, I now I have them all... I was an avid Halo and Call player (always will be), still getting the moves down in Gears.. the graphics are awesome on my 65 inch 4k.... look forward to many hours of enjoyment, destroying all opponents!

Gears of war has always been a favorite of mine. The campaign doesn't take long to beat, but there is the season pass available which only means more content. I did get this when it first released, which means they were still getting the bugs out of the online team deathmatch games. Otherwise great game.

The next generation of gaming has arrived with Gears of War 4. Running at 60 fps this game is pretty much the best third person shooter available on console. Competitive multiplayer, Horde 3.0 and the Campaign come together for a truly defined gaming experience. Highly recommended for Xbox one.

Bought this just last week, but will return it, as gears of war 4 regular edition is 14.99,almost 3x less than what impaid for this game.

It's definitely a step up from the prior Gears of War games. I've played the new hoard mode and found it particularly enjoyable. The graphics and ambiance are the same as the prior games, but the resolution seemed better. Overall it's a fun game and I would recommend it to others.

Awesome graphics, great Campaign storyline, New characters to care about as you survive the new horrors that await humanity in Planet Sera. I eagerly awaited this title and The Coalition does the Gears series justice with this title. This is a must own title this holiday season.

I really love this game is awesome and fun, the graphics are wonderful and the game play is the best only. Me and my friends we have so much fun. If you think to buy a game this one is you choice to go to Best Buy and pick up. Have fun and see you in the game campus...

The 4th GOW game lives up to the hype! The multiplayer is much improved and the dedicated servers provide a much better playing experience. Only downside is the new way of unlocking character and weapon skins which almost forces you to purchase them rather than earn them.

I've played every Gears game up to this point, and I've got to say that in my opinion this is the best one so far. The game feels so polished and complete. The story is great, and it really drew me in. This game has definitely had a ton of effort put into it and it shows.

Such a great game! Graphics, sound and all around great action. Let's not forget HDR support! For all those that have a 4K tv with HDR. You will love horde mode for sure. One of the greatest things in the game is the online and couch co-op! You will love this game.

Gears of War 4 is a nonstop thrill ride that I would recommend to any third person shooter fan. After the great single player story there's so much fun to be had with multiplayer and horde mode. This game is one of the many exclusives that warrant buying an xbox one.

Gears 4 does a great job bringing in new elements to an already great series. There is a nostalgia factor that goes along while playing it yet still holding itself as a new and fresh experience. I'd argue this is one of the top in a series of good games.

Great follow up to the story. Pretty challenging as well. I would definitely recommend it. I am also not sure if this is a Gold Edition promotion, but I also got all of the other Gears of War with the purchase of this game (a total of 4 games). Enjoy!

This game turned out to be very entertaining and a very great game! Can't wait to see what else they include for in-game content. The Gears franchise has provided great content over these last few years and I do not expect them to stop anytime soon.

The fact that this Gears of War 4 package includes all of the previous Gears of War games is a HUGE plus side. Lets me re-play the entire series and re-understand the entire plot. Controls are great, the game is great, and the graphics are great.
