The Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a great remake for a classic xbox game. It has the same feel and play of the 12 year parent, but has the crisp new graphics and sound of current - generation games. Recommended buy!

This is a really good games as it contains a comedic, sarcastic, and dark campaign which is the number one reason why I purchased this. Also the multiplayer is classic and good old fun with the nasher beeing the center of attention. I would recommend this to all (who are old enough).

Great game for the Xbox One. It has been awhile since I played GOW but felt at home once I slipped in the disc. Have only seen small changes/additions to story but it looks good. Graphics are up to par on new system.

Brought back memories of playing hours of gears of multiplayer. The game features 1080p graphics, updated textures and models as well as other enhancements. The multiplayer is as fun as it has ever been. Recommended.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is an excellent game and it's gameplay has stood the test of time, don't let some critics fool you. If you love the GoW franchise, then this is for you. The graphics have been updated and the game looks great. Detail has been added with the enhanced graphics that makes things stand out and really look alive. This detail also shows off a few areas where the designs weren't prepared for such fidelity, but these aren't too often. The gameplay is, as always, a ton of fun. Some of the camerawork has been redone to make cutscenes way more cinematic. This isn't your average remake of a game. And it's only $40. So if you love Gears, I'd say go for it. It'll at least keep your lancer revved until Gears of War 4 comes out.

Loved this game back in the day and it feels the same as it was before. The multiplayer is awesome at 60 FPS, the singleplayer is 30 FPS and you do notice it. overall i highly recommend this classic xbox 360 game.

This series has so much content to it. The story is griping and the action is packed! I love this game so much! Easy to follow, super fun to play by yourself or even better with a friend! I love this series!

I've played gears of war since it came out. To see the first game remastered is great. Graphics and some of the clunky mechanics of the game were updated. All around a good remaster and its only $40, not $60.

As someone who played the original to completion countless times, I was excited to play it again with upgraded graphics. The game played great and looked fantastic. The multiplayer was as fun as ever.

I love all the GoW games, well, maybe not Judgment as much as 1 to 3 but you get what I mean. I think these games are one of the best out there for a FPS with an actual story, co-op play, and competitive and fun PvP. I'd say this is much better than any COD game. If you're looking for endless hours of PvP than GoW isn't for you. I've played through the stories of GoW many times on my own and with friends. The enemies in these games will give you nightmares. I'm glad a new generation of Xbox One gamers will be able to enjoy what I have one my 360 for years. It's a bargain price and that you'll get to play the other 360 games on your One is an incredible bonus. Only downside is the download time for the game. I don't understand why I have disc then I have to install it. Is what is. I hope you get this game and enjoy it as much as I and others have for years. *I gave it 4 stars because I haven't finished yet.

Gears is an amazing and innovative game from the Xbox 360 hay days!! I have beaten this game at least 2-3 times and looking forward to doing it again with improved graphics, sound, and controller.

Gears is one of my all time favorite franchises and the remaster looks beautiful. I can't wait to spend countless hours finding all the COG Tags and competing in multiplayer! 20/10 would play again.

I played the original Gears of War several years ago and loved it. This is the same great game - but looks MUCH better. Also, came with the whole Gears of War series on Xbox one. Great deal too.

Almost a decade ago the original gears came out revolutionizing the gaming industry and setting a new bar for next gen multiplayer gaming. It was the first game to allow you to do in multiplayer exactly what you could do in campaign. It had amazing graphics for its time and revolutionizing gameplay. This is the version of the game the developers would've loved to release since Emergence Day 2006. Graphics are improved, amazing and so smooth. The gameplay is the same as the original gears (No crazy weapons or frag tagging walls like later gears). A must have for any fan of the series or noobs alike. I don't blame you if you run around chainsawing opponents the first few hours.

Great game and the remake was really well done. 60fps and 1080p look amazing and the gameplay is just as good as always and the story is a ton of fun with coop. Online is great of course also.

Gameplay is very solid. The next gen transition is as responsive and as quick as I remember the xbox 360 version. GoW fans shouldn't be disappointed plus there are 2 extra chapters.

You might not think there is anything here for you, but you'd be wrong. This game was remade from the ground up, similar to the remake of the first Resident Evil game that saw release on many newer consoles including very recently on today's current generation of systems. While not as much has changed in this game as opposed to RE, there is lots of new stuff and everything, new and old, looks incredible and plays like a dream. The first and best of the cover shooters, Gears remains on top as the years pass.

relive the excitment that the original had at 1080p! Plus the additional content and not to mention you get all the other gears for free to DL. Thats unless you already own them.

This is still one of the best games, story, grafx, play mechanics. Although this game is a remix of the original, the extras are worth it. It's even better the second time around.

Loved the original so a nice Reboot to the franchise. You don't realize how far consoles have come until you go back and play the original. Well done game and worth the purchase!
