Fine but there was a good sized dent/divet on the edge. Computer was in fine condition otherwise

Design and Build Quality: The MacBook has a really nice design with durable materials. The aluminum design is solid, premium and looks very elegant. It's very light (2.8 pounds) which is less than I expected.
Performance: The M1 chip seems to be very powerful for pretty much anything even video editing. However, for video editing and more resource intense tasks I'd recommend the Pro model. I love how it never gets hot and it's always quiet. I mainly use it for office tasks and it runs very smoothly. For gaming, I'd recommend a gaming laptop/PC since MacBooks are not built for this purpose.
Battery Life: It has good battery life, it really depends on the usage but I can browse, watch videos, check emails, FaceTime and work on Word or Excel and it can last the full day (about 6-8 hours) with some power left. I rarely use it on battery which could have a negative impact on my battery, but it definitely has good battery life.
Display: There isn't much to add, it's beautiful, text and images appear sharp and the True Tone technology adapts the color to the ambient lighting which is nice. Overall, it's a beautiful display and you will notice it.
Keyboard and trackpad: I love to type on this MacBook, it has the upgraded keyboard which is more reliable and durable than the messy butterfly keyboard from older models. It's comfortable to type in and it's very quiet. The trackpad, like any other Apple product is among the best, I don't think any other laptop comes close to how nice the trackpad is.
Software: It supports the latest OS as of the time of writing this review (Sequoia) and it's compatible with Apple Intelligence which is nice, it doesn't add many features but it's nice to have compatibility. In terms of software support it's still updated by Apple, based on older MacBooks and their lifecycle it should support OS upgrades for at least 2 years, and perhaps 1 or 2 more years after that of security updates, but it's not official until Apple confirms it. This can be important if you're thinking of keeping it for longer than that since many apps drop support for older OS versions after a while. In addition to software support, an important aspect of Mac OS is the compatibility with other Apple devices and how nicely everything integrates. If you don't have any other Apple devices it's still a very powerful laptop that can be used as just that, a laptop, but being in the Apple ecosystem I can notice the advantages of the OS integration with my iPhone, iPad and AirPods.

I love this MacBook! The laptop was in great condition! It looked as good as any brand new laptop! It runs very quickly! It enabled me to do exams requiring proctoring with ease. The M1 processor is elite vs. the Intel. I honestly may never buy a Windows again after this and I have used them all throughout my childhood. The battery life is phenomenal as well!

I bought this Geek Squad Certified Refurbished MacBook Air because I wanted Apple power without Apple pricing, and honestly… this thing showed up like it had just come from a spa retreat. I don’t know what the Geek Squad did to it, but I’m convinced this MacBook has seen things. Maybe it once lived a double life as a coder’s sidekick. Maybe it survived a college student’s “just one more episode” binge marathon phase.
Whatever its past, it has now entered its responsible era.
Performance
The M1 chip runs so fast that I’m 99% sure this laptop finishes tasks before I even think of them. I opened Safari and it practically whispered, “Already done, bestie.”
My old laptop wheezed like it was climbing Everest every time I tried to open a PDF. This one jogs through multiple tabs like it’s training for a 5K.
Appearance
“Refurbished” had me nervous, but this thing showed up looking so clean it could pass as new. Honestly, it looks better than I do most days.
Battery Life
The battery lasts long enough that I’ve forgotten what a charger looks like. I swear I watched two movies, paid bills, wrote emails, AND panic-applied for three jobs I don’t want—all on one charge.

I got the last one of these in stock Especially for the price, this refurbished M1 chip Mac Air has been really good so far. The rose gold color is gorgeous. With the M1 the speed is fast, the depth of color is great and the sound is really good with the dual speakers on either side of the keyboard. The external case only had 1 scratch on the back - other than that Im super happy with every aspect of it. Its also very light - lighter than the 2024 version - Check out reviews of the M1 chip - overall its better than the M2 - I dont know about later versions but I really feel like I did well here. Super enjoying my Mac Air!

The M1 Macs, released in 2020, marked a significant turning point for Apple computers. They were the first to feature Apple's own custom-designed ARM-based M1 chip, which replaced the Intel processors used in previous Macs. This transition resulted in a dramatic leap in performance and efficiency.
Pros:
* Blazing-fast performance: The M1 chip delivers exceptional speed and responsiveness, making everyday tasks and demanding workflows feel incredibly smooth.
* Exceptional battery life: M1 Macs offer significantly longer battery life compared to their Intel predecessors, allowing for extended use without needing to plug in.
* Quiet operation: The M1's efficiency translates to less heat generation, eliminating the need for noisy cooling fans in many models.
* Seamless compatibility: Rosetta 2 technology allows most existing Mac apps to run smoothly on M1 Macs, even if they haven't been specifically updated.
* Excellent price-to-performance ratio: M1 Macs offer incredible value for the performance they deliver.
Cons:
* Limited RAM: Some M1 Macs have a maximum of 16GB of RAM, which may be a limitation for certain professional workflows.
* Compatibility issues: While Rosetta 2 handles most apps well, some older or specialized software may not be fully compatible with the M1 architecture.
* Limited external display support: Early M1 Macs could only support one external display, though newer models have addressed this limitation.
Overall:
The M1 Macs represent a major advancement in computing, offering a compelling combination of performance, efficiency, and value. They are an excellent choice for a wide range of users, from casual users to creative professionals. While there are some limitations, the pros far outweigh the cons, making M1 Macs a highly recommended option.

I’ve had this MacBook Air M1 for 3 weeks now and so far so good. It looks and performs like I purchased it brand new. At first I was very skeptical about buying a refurbished item but I’m glad I took the plunge. It was in mint condition with no blemishes. It runs powerfully and the battery life has really great run time. The only con was that I ordered it in Space Grey but received it in Rose Gold. But because of the huge savings and the fact that it was in new like condition, I decided to keep it as is. I would highly recommend any refurbished item that’s Geek Squad Certified.

Okay so I apparently brought a macbook off of best buy’s geek squad and was a little skeptical amd worried a little bit because it might hbe tears and rips. Suprisingly it isnt. It came brand new condition and I finally needed a new laptop to start my fall semester for school. I will say when I first arrived at best buy for it. I was so freakin excited when I saw the girl come out with it. And opened it, it was so pretty! I am in love.

Arrived in great condition - no sign of heavy use and low battery cycles (<50).
If you're pondering whether to go with the "old" M1 and if 8GB ram is enough, I'm happy to report that this package handles ~20ish Chrome tabs, some light scripting in Python/shell, and some streaming (Spotify/YouTube in the background) really well. The memory pressure and the CPU load stays pretty low and I have not noticed any lag. I did some photo editing and it handled that with minimal effort as well. All this while also rendering an external UWQHD display (3440x1440)! The growing theme with this laptop is that it's much faster, snappier/effortless, with much longer battery life than my past one. For reference, my last laptop was a 2017 MacBook Pro with an i7, 16GB RAM, and a dedicated graphics card.
I highly recommend it! It is great, and doubly so at this price point.

Bought as a gift for my sister who was in her last year of college. She needed a light, powerful and reliable machine to finish her final papers and presentations while handling various types of media and content. She says there are no issues with it being refurbished; works like new. She's really happy with it and I'm still an awesome big brother!
