It has been a learning experience in the good sense. We have a hanging ceiling lamp that is turned off and on by a switch on the power cord. It was difficult to get to not to mention turning the lamp off and on. This plug has made it a breeze. Coupled with my Google mini, we are able to turn on the lamp with ease. Well worth the cost and it works as promised.

Without exception, all of my other smart plug devices claim more real estate on the outlets than the Geeni. It’s about time–and kudos to Geeni for pulling this off.

Great Geeni quality! Easy to use and setup!

I have other products like this, so I compared the apps, and the Geeni app is quicker to open and use. This makes a difference if you are trying to turn on a light or something else, as you don't want to be standing there waiting for the app, or have extra steps in the app to turn something on.

This doesn't work with Apple home kit but if you want a smart plug to set on and off timers this will do the job nicely. You can also group them to work as one.

Saves money, works great

I'm happy to report they were easy to set up with the Geeni app and connected to the Echo with no hassles. Lights turn on and off when I ask. I would highly recommend saving some cash and using these.

Great for light automation...especially Christmas

Easy to set up, easy to create group, and presto! All lights in the house could come on and off at the same time. Even used Alexa to set up a schedule for each day on the decorative lights... worked great!

I have it set to turn on when it gets dark so we can see when we walk in a room, return in the evening, or to have our home look lived in when we are away. I haven't had any issues. The app is easy to use. I don't believe it is compatible with Smartthings which is a drawback.
