      Hello Roku, Cync 40 inch Light Strips are only extensions used to be added onto an existing 80" Light Strip. Our 80" Light Strips come equipped with a power supply. In the event 80" is too long for the space you are looking to fill you can cut the strip shorter. We have a very useful guide here on our Cync FAQ page, cyncsupport.gelighting.com/s/article/installing-light-strips.     GE light strip has great colors but setting up on the CYNC app wasnt as easy like setting up bulbs or plugs. I had to reset it twice before it let app control take over and then use it with the google home app.

    Works perfect with direct connect light strip and Alexa. Removed the cap from the original direct connect light strip, added two extensions to get the length I wanted. Easy and provides the lighting I want when I want it.

    These are very bright at max setting and the adhesive back holds very good. Easy to use with the app. You can change the color and brithness easily.
