You can't beat the number of games you get in this collection- especially for the price!

Some games stand the test of time better than others with this collection. Strangely Sonic 3 and Sonic and knuckles are omitted with this collection due to music rights from what I've read. The lack of the previously mentioned games though is easily made up by gunstar heroes and alien soldier, the latter being the first ever physical release for the game in North America.

I finally popped this game in, and I played all the way through Gunstar Heroes. This collection is wonderful, many classic games, online multiplayer, crt and hd filters. Great collection. Highly recommend, specifically Gunstar and Streets of Rage. Sonic 2 is always perfect too.

50 Genesis games you can replay on your current generation console. This disc has lots of "bang for your buck", and if you had a Genesis many years ago, this is an excellent nostalgic experience. Personally I'm disappointed that there were a few Genesis titles omitted from this collection (Eco the Dolphin and Beyond Oasis are two that come to mind.)

Great classics game for collection and great price

I definitely enjoy the collection of games. It is also something my kids and I can get into together, my 5 year old loves it. There are great games in the set, you can save throughout the process and even make quick saves if you have to run to do something. Quick saves are something I wish I had when I was playing RPG's in the past.

Firstly, despite Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic 3 and Knuckles (just to name a few) being MIA, the overall presentation in the collection is pretty good. The developers have taken into account how jagged 30+ year-old sprite games look on modern displays so included are screen filter options that were not present in the previous generation's Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and Sonic Gems collection. These being scanlines, screen curvature and bilinear filtering. These tweeks can help with rendering sprites on modern televisions. Additionally, included in this collection is a virtual CRT to emulate Sega Genesis visuals. Although there exists a little input lag on button presses, there are save/load states to be used for redos if necessary much like Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection Finally, price wise this collection is much cheaper than tracking down the original carts or buying them digitally.

I've been a fan of Sega for as long as I can remember, and when I saw they were releasing this collection on current gen consoles, I got very excited. The games all play smoothly, even with a select amount of games being playable online, and even more features packed into this game, making it a great value!

This collection may be missing a few heavy hitters like Ecco the Dolphin or Sonic 3 & Knuckles . . . But it's also the first to include hidden gems like Gunstar Heroes and the Toejam & Earl games. Those alone make this collection worth a buy! Also the 90's kids room interface is adorable ^_^

nice pack in poster, love the rewind feature and new psv update if you love the 16-bit era as much as I do then purchasing Sega Genesis Classics should be mandatory. With loads of must-have games and hidden gems, you're bound to spend hours upon hours reliving one of the best eras in gaming history.

Remember those plug in systems from a certain company? Having one of those “consoles” I was relatively interested in this release for PS4 & XboxOne. Surprised no Switch version. Either way it’s a good buy. While we may have a wish list of what we want in a collection, what is here is wonderful.

My summary sums up this collectio, alien soldier among many of the other classics like gunstar heros and the streets of rage collection make it easily worth picking up. Some people are mad that sonic 3 is not on here but that is out of segas control due to licensing issues.

There is a bunch of games that I grew up with on the Genesis in this pack. The selection a rather good for the vast amount of games over the years on that console. If you like old school retro gaming, give this a shot. It has given me and my daughter some quality hours together.

I bought this game for my son as he is a fan of the old games, especially Sonic. I was always a Nintendo player until I got this. I am addicted to Toe Jam & Earl. Who would have thought after all these years that these games would still be enjoyable. Great set of games!

Absolutely love this collection. Not much has changed since it was kinda released on last gen under a different name, however it is fun to pick up on current consoles. Only wish it was on switch for on the go gaming but i am sure that will happen soon. Highly recommended.

This a great collection of Sega Genesis games on the PS4. I prefer this type of value over purchasing each game digitally. The only reason I gave this a 4/5 is it's missing Sonic 3! A minor complaint overall. So far I have over 30 hours into this and couldn't be happier.

Game started up with out issues. Had updates to run no problem you can skip. The packing was great. Came with an old school poster. Im really glad Sega relased all the classics for play on my PS4 im really excited to be playing games from my childhood.

You can never get enough Classics re released over and over again. This collection of Genesis games however is a great one!. You get a great variety of Sega games that has you going for long hours of the day.

Got this for my kids so they can see that our era had a lot of fun video games too. This brings a lot of memories. I never got to play all the available games on this disc before. But there's a lot of nostalgia in a few of them.

Lots of great games, including Altered Beast, 2 Shinobi titles, Golden Axe 1-3, and even ESWAT. Other notables are Space Harrier II, Sonic 1&2. The games are listed on the back cover. Great for a short (or longer) retro session.
