The collection is alright - a lot of filler for being called a “classic” collection. But not necessarily bad. However, sound and emulation issues are abound, at least in my copy - lag is understandable if annoying in modern titles pushed to the limit on a console; but lag on games that originally ran on hardware that was discountined over 20 years ago? On a console in 2018? This smells of a lazy job with poor optimization.

The selection of games is solid overall for a casual Genesis fan or maybe someone new getting into retro games, but the spotty emulation (especially with sound), random glitches including glitched Achievements, laggy online play, lack of bonus unlockables, make it hard to recommend when the PS3/360 Ultimate Genesis Collection did this so much better. Nice to see the Treasure games (Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, Light Crusader) so that alone may be enough to buy it for some. It's still solid if you only have an Xbox One or PS4, but can't help but feel a bit disappointed.

Some of the emulation on this collection missed the mark but it’s not enough to not buy this. Definitely worth the price. An excellent collection of Genesis games here. A must have.

So when we were early in dating, my girlfriend suggested forna date to just have pizza and play video games. Then she asked if I had a SEGA Genesis. As a kid, my sister and I did. As an adult... Erm... I'm guilty of repeat purchases of Sonic games. Enter this... A library guaranteed to savor appetites of old school games in various facets. The 4 stars is for the lack of certain titles from a certain main SEGA franchise (many to most gamers know which ones). The neat touches in the menu, emulation, video/audio, are up front really good. $30 is not a bad price at all, but I will not judge anyone for wanting this cheaper.

I have always loved Sega. I had both an SNES and Genesis growing up and there were a lot of games I loved on the Genesis over the SNES. This is a great collection of most of the classic games from the Genesis. It is worth picking up since it is priced well.

Decent collection needs alot more games loved the rewind/ fast forward feature

I am a huge fan of the Sega Genesis and was excited to check this compilation out. While alot of the games themselves are classics, some of the issues I had were as follows: Imperfect Sound Emulation: While the games run pretty well for the most part, some of the sound emulation is off. Most of it is fine. But if you've played these games on the original platform you'll notice things like when sonic hits the goal sign in sonic 1, it sounds off. Or when a female enemy dies in Streets Of Rage 3. Then you have random time when the music will stutter for a second. It's rare but very distracting. Noticeable Omissions: Obviously not all notable games from the genesis make it on here, but it's glaringly missing Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. It doesn't make sense at all. Sonic Spinball is here of all games. If it weren't for those issues this would have been a 5 star rating. The games are still great. It's a shame those minor issues hold up an otherwise great collection.

Game is structured really well. Took me back to the launch of the original Sega Genesis with Altered Beast!!

This has some of my favorites games from back in high school & shortly there after. And playing with my 7 and 8 year old is a blast. They love these "older" games. And having 50 to choose from in one game is great. Old games on todays TVs and controllers are great. Oh, and when little ones are playing, the rewind feature is pretty cool. Kids characters dies, rewind about 20 seconds and try something different. Wish they had that 25 years ago.

Such a great variety of classic games! Nostalgia! Brings back memories!

This was a really fun collection of games to reminisce with. The collection is certainly incomplete but has important titles like Sonic, Comix zone and golden axe. Overall a fun time for under $20.00. Definitely worth a spin to try these out on Xbox one or ps4 controllers.

A great collection of classic sega games & lots of fun

Instead of buying a new “classics system that’s limited in so many ways I bought this and saved a lot of money and the game selection/music/transfer is very good and it’s like being able to play all my old Sega games w/out all the hassle. You only have so many hdmi, save yourself the trouble unless you wanna get nostalgic.

Over 50 great SEGA games and we'll worth every dollar.

This was fun with a really nice presentation of an 80's style room with cartridges piled up. I gave it a 4 because it would have been amazing to have the ability to add more comes or just come with more games in general.

A great compilation of over 50 classic Sega Genesis games. Some of these games are cornerstones to many of the game type you play today. Sonic is here, Comix Zone is here, Shinobi is here among the others. Some of the games are dated, but it is a fun trip down memory lane and plenty to choose from.

It’s so cool to be able to go back and play the Genesis games that I remember and loved so much, but this collection also shows how far we’ve come since. Now I want updated versions of games like Altered Beast.

If you loved the Sega Genesis era, then you must pick up this game. Its a lot of fun and it comes with some easy achievements to get. I do not understand why Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were not included, but its not the end of the world. You will not be disappointed if you are a fan of Sega Genesis.

It's great having so many of the classic Sega Genesis games available in one place on Xbox one. The graphics don't always up convert well, but the game play and nostalgia definitely still translate.

I bought this game and I wasn’t disappointed. It has all of the original Sega Genesis game lineup of yesteryear. It plays well to be so old and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it.
