After the train wreck Sony PS1 mini release I was skeptical about buying the Sega Genesis mini console. Man, was I wrong! This little Genesis replica is perfect in every way! From the incredible detail to the top shelf game selection! Sega also threw in the Japanese versions of some amazing games never before released in the USA. (Just choose Japanese as the language of choice on the home screen). The quality conversion of the games to HDMI is amazing. Playing these classics on a 65” 4K TV “edge-to-edge” is an experience every game fan young and especially old should experience! Also, take note Sony, Sega even included a power adapter! What a novel idea! So don’t hesitate, buy now because when Black Friday comes these little gems will be gone!

M2 again provides superb emulation. Disappointing that the US version only comes with the standard 3 button controller instead of the 6 button one. But if you want to play classic Genesis games on a modern TV, you could do far worse than grabbing this collection. The collection has most of the usual suspects and is a great introduction to those who never got to play the Genesis in the early to mid 90s!

This newest member of the 'classic' consoles is a welcome addition to my collection. Boasting a nice selection of games and attention to detail(s), you won't be disappointed in this one like the Playstation. One of the best features are the much longer cords on the controllers. No need to worry about being too far from your favorite chair or the need for a wireless (if you don't want to). They are also USB, which I imagine will open up a world of new controller choices. The only downside is these are the standard 3-button controllers instead of the 6-button. Since this is a 'classic' system, it only seems fitting and so far I believe there is only one game on the console that uses the 6-buttons, but it is not a requirement. They also made some of the details functional, like a sliding volume button and opening dust flaps where a cartridge would go, but none of these do anything and are only there for the aesthetic. While the console comes with a lot of games, the selection could have been slightly better, however there should be enough here to keep anyone entertained for a while. Overall, very nice and very high quality.

This is exactly how a retro console should be. Great game selection overall and they play exactly how you remember. You should find something you remember and probably a couple you never played before. The two controllers feel great. I would have preferred the 6 button but you only need it for a couple of games and I plan on picking one up. Overall a great buy for someone look to play the Genesis again without digging for cable and old carts.

The Sega Genesis mini system was such a great purchase, and at a sale price of $49.99 a no-brainer during this time of isolation. Loaded with 42 games including some of my favorite old school Sega games, easy setup and connection, and 2 WIRED CONTROLLERS (not just 1 like some other throwback game systems) so you can enjoy playing with friends and family (while staying 6 feet apart with less than 10 people). Such a great buy!

Without a doubt, the Sega Genesis was the console I probably spent a large part of my childhood on, so when I heard a properly put together mini console was being solicited, I knew I had to get one. In short, it mostly didn't disappoint. There are a lot of great games on the console and some questionable ones, but you get your money's worth with 42 total. If I had to complain at all about anything, it's that there are two three button controllers included in the package. While still a great deal, six button controllers would have been preferred. Overall, very easily worth the price if you're looking to dive back into the 16 bit era on the Sega side of things.

This is a great throwback gaming console, especially since you only need an HDMI cable to get it hooked up. It has a lot of the great classics like Altered Beast, Sonic, and others. We bought it right at the beginning of COVID and it was worth every penny. We still play it even though we have a Switch and PS

This has the staple game library from your childhood. It is missing a few but very few. It makes up for it with expensive collectible games like Castlevania, Contra, and Mega Man. The controllers are the best part for me. They feel really nice, durable, and responsive. They do sell the 6 button controller separately. I wish they would have just included it in the box. Still a great buy for the sale price of $50.

This is a great collection of many iconic Genesis games. A must have for fans. Also so otherwise ultra rare games are legally obtainable on this. Unlike AT games systems they get the emulation done right on this. So the sound wont be tinny or out of sync. One downside is it came with 3 button controllers. Only one game really needs the a 6 button controller and thats street fighter. But many usb controllers work well.

This is the best re-rerelease game system yet! The list of fun playable games is super deep! Has a lot of 2 person games too! Road Rash 2 is the reason I bought the system and that is as much fun racing and fighting on a motorcycle as I remember. Would have been totally happy with price if that was the only good game but I love 5 others and have enjoyed playing all of them! You should own one these!!

Build Quality: Excellent build quality and remotes. Games: Its a blast from the past with a good assortment of games. Its fun and graphics are the best, but thats not the point. Summary: This is a great unit and accompanies my Xbox well. I play it when I want something light without all the online nonsense. I think its better than the Sony tryout also.

My 5 year old really loves games and wanted to be able to play as a prize when he's done well. Instead of a large expensive system, I got him this. It comes preloaded with some sweet games. He loves Sonic and has played that every time he gets the chance. There are plenty of games to play, and the nostalgia for people my age is worth the nominal cost.

How this machine SHOULD HAVE been done!

The only reason to own one of these machines is nostalgia...and that's great. You may be familiar with with the annual iterations of a Sega Genesis by Atom™. Well... because they are "sub-par", Sega finally got up and had a machine built that isn't so God awful. Sega built this console from the ground up in order to give it proper HD compatibility, as well as the ability to use save States so you can play in multiple sessions instead of one long one. In the box, is the console, 2 USB controllers, the power cable, an HDMI cable, and a USB power adapter. There are 40 games, plus two rare releases (Darius and Tetris*). Some of the games I've never heard of (Alisia Dragoon, Light Crusader, Monster World 4, and a few others) are fun for a time, while others are genuine hidden gems (PLAY LANDSTALKER. IT'S AWESOME!!!). Put simply, if you're a 90s raised kid, it's worth your money. Sega even gives it its own quality seal of approval and you should too. *Who knew there was one

Growing up I never had the money to have a Genesis. This little piece of gaming history is really fun. Sure, there are games I would like to be on there like Sonic 3, but for the price it is a great deal. I got it on sale for $40 as well so that is pretty hard to beat since you get two controllers and a hefty chunk of fun games.

While the PS1 Mini was a total flop, all the right buttons got pushed for the Genesis. There's an excellent sampling of the various gaming genres, including some RPGs (Phantasy Star II), shmups (Thunder Force III), and platformers (Sonic), among others. They did well to include the real must-haves for fans at an excellent price.

Growing up in the 90s, Sega Genesis was a must have/play if you were into video games. To get this smaller reproduction with a ton of games at a decent price is fantastic. It's like boxed nostalgia. The system plays well, the selection of games is solid (but not perfect) and the 3-button controllers are acceptable. Frankly, they should have packaged in the superior 6-button controllers instead of making you buy them individually. Still, it's a great little video game package.
