Well worth the price for all those games. The system is really small but sturdy.

The mini-genesis comes equipped with 42 games, each one a gem in its own right. Alot of these you played every day, alot you were thinking about buying but couldn't because of budgetary reasons, and alot you weren't able to play because they were never released before! Great games, and every game is near perfect in its emulation of the real thing. Plus, be sure to check out the different artworks for all the games from different regions in the settings page!

I grew up as a genesis kid. Genesis mini is a great way to revisit this 16-bit console and all the amazing games! Granted, it doesn't play cartridges. It's simply a plug and play device that gets the job done. The menu is clean and very detailed. The controller feel exactly the same way as it did years ago. All of this is set up for modern tv displays. 42 games is a bargain at its $59.99 price point. If you're into classic games, you won't be disappointed.

Sega, please come baaaaack! You made such great games in the 16 bit days. You were head to head with Nintendo. Only if Sega could come back and surprise everyone with their own system, that would be epic! This classic system has great collection of games I played in my childhood. I have Snes classic and Nes classic as well. I play each of them about the same, and love traveling back in time with these classic mini's.

So far this is the best mini console for the money. I'm glad they included two controllers.

Here I was thinking that only Nintendo was capable of making a proper classic edition console; I was wrong. Sega did the right thing partnering up with M2 for the Genesis mini and it shows. Over 40 classic titles faithfully emulated so they'll look and play as fantastic as you remember. The build quality is also top-notch and it comes with 2 controllers so you can trek down memory lane with a friend. I only deducted 1 star because I would have preferred that they include the 6 button gamepads instead of the standard 3 button ones and then omission of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, but otherwise, it's a stellar package.

If you are a 80s/90s gamer like I am, you know systems like the Nintendo and Genesis were part of our childhood. There were several releases of the Genesis by AtGames while they fill the void for nostalgia, they did not accurately reproduce the feel of the original. This one does. This one also looks just like the real deal with controllers to match. Comparable to the NES mini in quality.
