It can be a little to noisy if the setting is set up to high but on the lowest setting is very quiet. If you set it up away from you like in a corner of your house or a hallway you won't notice no matter how high you put the setting to. Other then that it does truly deodorize and freshens up a living in under a hour.

I didn't expect to see this filter working in an extreme situation, but it did. Someone left their food on too long in the microwave and caused a lot of smoke in the office. Plugged this bad boy in next to the microwave and the air started to clear out of smoke. 20-30 mins later there was no smell of smoke in the air and things were back to normal. The only drawback for me is this is extremely noisy when used on high. Otherwise it does just fine in my office and keeps the air clean and stuffy-free.

I bought this thinking the low setting would be a little quieter but it's actually kind of loud even on the lowest setting. Some said they can sleep with this on but I think some of the reviewers are hard of hearing because I can't sleep with this thing on. I have the GermGuardian 167 sq. ft. tower and on the lowest setting it's very quiet. I would say if you compared the sound, it would be on fan speed 4 on the tower. Other than the sound level, it works really well. I can smell the difference.

I got this because I needed to bring my outside dogs in the house at night while I was out of town for a few days and I am allergic to pet dander. I set it on high for the time I was gone and when I returned you couldn't even tell that we had the dogs in the house. It was wonderful to come home to a fresh smelling house. I have used it for about a month now and it still works well but it is a little noisy even on low, but other than that it is great.

GermGuardian - 3-in-1 Tabletop UV-C 78 Sq. Ft. Air Purifier - totally worked great from the start. I was having trouble breathing and this product made it so much better for me. I also sleep better with the cleaner air. It is perfect for hot summer days, as it blows out cold air. In reverse I don't like the fact that this is not winter time friendly. I wish it blew out warmer air, in the winter. But overall I am very happy with it. The price was a great value, compared to the ones over $200.00, and it has the germ guard built in.

2 air purifiers!!!!! *2 chainz voice *. It's great not to loud very faint that you barely notice unless you're focused on it. I even got my friend to buy one. Takes only a hour at most to clean out a large living room.

My room is medium to large and it works like a charm! My allergies are much better and I can breathe much better as soon as I come into my room.

If you want to purify a small room area, [under this pandemic], such as the bedroom, kids room, bathroom, and or kitchen, this will do the job. I did notice the difference of cleaner air, removal of smells/odors. it seats on my night-stand. I am a smoker and if I can tell the difference in air quality, you will too. it is a very good product I recommend it.

This filter fits nice under my desk.It Cleans the air very well . It functions nice on the low setting any higher than that it's noisy

Initially purchased this device to help clean up the air in my bedroom from dust. After installing it and having it for a few days I noticed less dust around the room, and also, that it smelled fresh and clean. I definitely did not expect the purifier to go that far but I am impressed. The only thing is that it is fairly loud, I personally like this as white noise helps me focus, but for those that do not, this may not be for you. It also has the UV light which helps even more to get rid of air scents. Great product.

The unit cleans the air nicely and makes it easier to breathe. It moves the air around the room so that the ceiling fan is not needed to sleep soundly.

Really helped with the second hand smoke filtering from the apartment below and nextdoor. Helped have some fresher air to breathe in the bedroom. Right now running it 24/7 to hopefully control the smoke smell and eventually run a little less during the day. Emits a nice clean air smell. Noise level - minor swoshing sound. Nicely fits on table top or on the floor.

I like this unit. If you price match then you can also say I like the price. I have this unit in my bedroom on slow speed to be the quiet. I am easy waker but this unit on slow doesn't bother me. I plan on getting another unit for the living room as well. I really don't have allergies/allergens so kinda hard to say how well it works but I believe the air is cleaner, in my room at least.

We got the Germ Guardian for our daughter, who has a severe allergy to dust. She was having trouble sleeping. She noticed an immediate difference, and had much more restful sleep.

Great for ved rooms bought one for the 2 little girls that always wake up with stuffed up noises from pollen and dust allegies and since we have had this in their room they havent been waking up like that

I bought this initially because my room isn’t that big and I have really bad allergies. It works great, I can’t sleep without it; I tried to and the next morning I woke up with my allergy fever. The only reason it’s getting a 4/5 is because on the box it indicates there’s a UV light but when I turned it on, there wasn’t one and it doesn’t seem like there’s a place to put a UV light, anyway.

This product works great to keep my air clean and helps reduce dust. It is fairly quite when set on 2.

This is ideal for a small room. I would use it more in summer just cause it blows air like a small fan. Not sure how effective it is, but not great for smoke.

This is now the second tabletop Air Purifier I've bought and the first from GermGuardian. My other purifier was from Holmes, and it made a rattling sound almost constantly. This unit has a higher output and makes considerably less noise. I've paired it with a Linksys Kasa smart plug - the purifier kicks on automatically at bedtime and cleans the air with a little white noise.
