Ghost of Yōtei is an absolute triumph—an unforgettable experience that blends breathtaking visuals, powerful storytelling, and refined combat into one of the most immersive games I’ve played. From the moment you step into its snow-covered landscapes, the atmosphere pulls you in. The world feels alive, quiet, and hauntingly beautiful, with every environment telling its own story. The combat is smooth, deliberate, and deeply satisfying. Each encounter rewards strategy and timing, making every duel feel intense and meaningful. The new mechanics and refinements build perfectly on what fans loved before while still feeling fresh and innovative. What truly sets Ghost of Yōtei apart is its narrative depth. The story is emotional, mature, and thoughtfully paced, exploring themes of honor, loss, and identity without ever feeling forced. The characters are well-written and memorable, making your journey feel personal and impactful. Visually, the game is stunning. The lighting, weather effects, and art direction create moments that genuinely feel cinematic. Paired with a beautiful soundtrack and subtle sound design, the immersion is next-level. Ghost of Yōtei isn’t just a great game—it’s an experience. A must-play for fans of action-adventure games and storytelling at its finest

If you played the first Ghost game you will be very familiar with this one. They play very much the same with a lot of refinements and polish. The open world is taking teeming with activity and places to explore. The Combat is second to none. So much variety and fluidity. Has a similar issue to the first with weak npc ai, especially when it comes to stealth. Outside of that it's a great open world game.

Ghost of Yotei: A Masterpiece Forged in Snow Ghost of Yotei delivers a stunning, atmospheric masterclass in open-world samurai action. Set against the majestic, snow-capped Mount Yotei, the game’s beauty is matched only by its brutal elegance. Combat is a lethal, focused dance of steel. Fluid parries and quick, satisfying finishing moves make every duel feel deeply personal and cinematic. The difficulty rewards precision, forcing players to master the blade rather than rely on frantic button-mashing, creating an immense sense of accomplishment with every victory. Exploration across the vast, varied map—from silent bamboo forests to frozen hot springs—is organic and genuinely rewarding. The world constantly pulls you off the beaten path with mesmerizing vistas and hidden spiritual shrines. The central narrative of sacrifice and honor, focused on defending the sacred land from a relentless invading force, is deeply moving and centers a story around legacy. The mystical elements woven into the history of Yotei provide the story with a compelling, emotional resonance, backed by a flawless, sweeping orchestral score. Ghost of Yotei is more than just a gorgeous world; it's a profound, essential journey that sets a new bar for the genre. 9.5/10.

    Beautiful work from Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch continues their beautiful work with the next chapter in the Ghost series. Ghost of Yotei takes everything fans loved about Ghost of Tsushima and elevates it — from breathtaking landscapes to emotional storytelling and fluid combat. Set against the snowy backdrop of Mount Yotei, the game’s world feels alive and immersive. Every village, forest, and mountaintop is filled with atmosphere and quiet beauty. The attention to detail is remarkable — snow falls gently on your armor, the wind howls through bamboo forests, and every encounter feels cinematic. Combat feels sharper and more deliberate than ever. Whether you prefer stealth, archery, or charging into battle with your katana, the game rewards precision and patience. The new stance mechanics and parry system make every duel intense and satisfying. The story follows new and returning characters, exploring the themes of honor, legacy, and redemption. It’s a personal journey that captures the spirit of a wandering samurai — torn between duty and freedom. Sucker Punch has once again proven that they are masters of blending art, gameplay, and emotion. Ghost of Yotei isn’t just a sequel — it’s a love letter to Japanese culture, storytelling, and the art of the samurai.

Ghost of Yoeti completely blew me away. From the first moment, the atmosphere pulled me in and didn’t let go. The story is haunting in the best possible way—mysterious, emotional, and full of surprises that kept me hooked to the very end. The world-building is stunning. Every scene feels alive, and the attention to detail is unreal. Whether it was a quiet moment full of tension or a heart-pounding sequence, I felt like I was right there in the middle of it. The characters are unforgettable, especially the way the narrative slowly reveals deeper layers behind Yoeti and the surrounding lore. It’s rare to find something that balances suspense, emotion, and creativity this well. If you’re looking for something unique, immersive, and beautifully crafted, Ghost of Yoeti is an absolute must. I’d give it more stars if I could.

This game is fantastic. It is not connected to Ghost of Tsushima (so you don't have to have played that one to understand this one), but the game itself plays even better, while the story and animation are both phenomenal! If you like expansive 40-60 hour games with lots of collection, fighting, and immersive gameplay, I highly recommend this one to you.

Truly one of the best modern open worlds game. It does surpass Ghost of Tsushima in every aspect. Better and more profound combat system. Better graphics and world design. Better and more beautiful music tracks. Great voice performance from english voice actors, and japanese actors too. Runs like butter on my old fat PS5, 60 fps perfect performance, not even a tiny skip or timeframe drop. Resolution on performance mode is really decent, no complaints there. And the story will truly make anyone shed a tear, it was perfect, and I cant recommend this game enough.

Ghost of Yotei is absolutely amazing! If you liked Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll definitely love this game. The combat feels familiar but has its own twist — instead of using stances, you can switch between different weapons to counter your enemies. The world is beautiful, and the story is full of emotion — revenge, action, heartbreak, and even heartwarming moments. It keeps you hooked from start to finish. If you’re looking for a game with great combat, a powerful story, and an incredible atmosphere, Ghost of Yotei is a must-buy!

Ghost of Yotei: Beautiful, Brutal, and Familiar

Hey, so you were asking about Ghost of Yotei? I've been playing it nonstop since it came out, and honestly, you're going to want to check this out. Here's the simple breakdown: It's not a direct sequel, but it's 100% the Ghost of Tsushima follow-up we've been waiting for. They moved the setting 300 years into the future (so, 1600s) and way up north to Ezo, which is this big, snowy, mountainous island. You're playing as a new character, Atsu, and her story is much more personal and brutal. It's a straight-up revenge mission—a group called the "Yōtei Six" killed her family, and she's back to hunt them down, one by one. What's Great About It: The Combat is Better Than Ever: The core of Tsushima (parries, standoffs) is still here and feels just as tight. But they've added new weapons that really change things up. My favorite is the kusarigama (the chain-sickle). It's fantastic for crowd control and just looks so cool in motion. It Is Gorgeous: I'm not exaggerating, this is one of the best-looking games on the PS5, full stop. Tsushima was beautiful, but the snow physics, the lighting on the mountains, and the sheer color in the landscapes are just on another level. Atsu's a Great Lead: She's a good change from Jin. She's angry, she's focused, and her motivation is super clear. It makes the story feel really driven, even if it's a simple "get revenge" plot. (Plus, you get a wolf companion, which is always a win.) The Things to Know: It's an Iteration, Not a Revolution: This is the most important part. If you got burned out on Tsushima's open-world loop—clearing camps, following foxes, finding springs—this game has all of that, too. They've polished it, but the structure is almost identical. The Story is Predictable: You'll see the plot twists coming. It's a very "what you see is what you get" revenge story. It's satisfying, but it's not going to blow your mind with its complexity. My Verdict: You should play it. It's fantastic. It's the ultimate "more of a good thing" game. It takes a formula that already worked, makes it look breathtaking, and tightens up the combat. If you're looking for a big, beautiful, and incredibly satisfying action game to just sink your teeth into, this is it. It's an easy recommendation and a definite Game of the Year contender.

Steel-cut combat. Painterly vistas. A heroine with something to prove. Critics call it a “gripping story with fantastic combat” and some of the series’ most rewarding exploration yet. Several reviews say it’s one of the first PS5 adventures that truly feels boundary-pushing, from scale to presentation. Caveat: the open-world loop still shows a bit of checklist DNA—but the highs easily outweigh it. Verdict: If you loved Ghost of Tsushima or crave top-tier melee action, this is a day-one play.

A very solid follow-up to the original game. It's a little odd for a highly narrative new franchise to completely abandon all characters from the original, but this is a total gameplay sequel with a very good evolution of the previous game. Storywise some will like one more than the other, but both are very good. The game looks great, plays great, and has a solid cast.

If you’re a fan of the first game (Ghost of Tsushima), you’re going to love this one. I’m a few hours in, and the game is already fantastic! Graphics are amazing, even on the PS5 OG console on performance settings so if you have a PS5 pro even better. The world is absolutely gorgeous, the music and sounds are great, the fighting is even better than the first game it’s much more dark and gritty in my honest opinion. The story is great so far and looking to be on par or even better than the first game. The horse riding is also much better than the first game. It doesn’t feel so clunky, and the horse doesn’t feel like it weighs 5,000 lbs lol. Don’t let political nonsense or biased non-gamers tell you the game is bad because That couldn’t be more false and it’s incredibly dishonest to judge a game based on anything other than the game itself. These people purposely downvoted the game on YouTube and other sites to try and “cancel” the game without playing 1 second of it and epically failed, all because the voice actress used her Second Amendment right and said something some people didn’t like. I’m actually enjoying it even more than the original game, and I absolutely love Ghost of Tsushima. This game is a masterpiece and a must-play for anyone that was a fan of the Ghost of Tsushima game. 5/5

Combat is smooth and rewarding, and the swordplay feels powerful every time. The story pulled me in from the start and kept me hooked. Ghost of Yotei continues the quality of Ghost of Tsushima. The world feels natural and flows so well. The gameplay feels perfectly balanced like the original and the story, while not as vast as the first, feels weighty and true to life.
