Steel-cut combat. Painterly vistas. A heroine with something to prove. Critics call it a “gripping story with fantastic combat” and some of the series’ most rewarding exploration yet. Several reviews say it’s one of the first PS5 adventures that truly feels boundary-pushing, from scale to presentation. Caveat: the open-world loop still shows a bit of checklist DNA—but the highs easily outweigh it. Verdict: If you loved Ghost of Tsushima or crave top-tier melee action, this is a day-one play.

Very fun to play, but became repetitive to me after a while. Definitely recommend.

Similar to Tsushima. Some extra gameplay elements but nothing much to differentiate from Tsushima outside of characters and story. Nonetheless, great game! Tsushima's story was better in my opinion. Still a beautiful game, the showdowns were great.

I really liked Ghost of Yōtei™. The visuals are stunning, the combat feels smooth and responsive, and exploring the world is genuinely fun. The story kept me engaged, and the DualSense features made the experience even more immersive. Overall, it’s a beautiful and satisfying game that I enjoyed from start to finish.

Beautiful game, beautiful storytelling. Great combat as always, and new weapons to acquire, side quests were great, and really enjoyed Atsu’s journey and story. Also learned a lot of the Ainu, which was really interesting and cool to learn about.

A true sequel that takes full advantage of the PS5 and Pro's capabilities. This sequel continues the positive trajectory of Sucker Punch being a dark horse developer. Ghost of Tsushima was a massive surprise and Yotei takes everything Tsushima did and refines it. A more streamlined game world, new gameplay that keeps Tsushima intact while refining and adding new things, and pure unfiltered love for Akira Kurosawa. If you have a PS5/Pro, this is worth every cent.

Definitely coukd be game of the year! If yiu want a challenging game, that could take some time to complete, this is definitely a must have! Also has new game plus which really helps with replay value!

Great continuation from the previous storyline with a more balanced gameplay

Sucker punch doesn’t miss! First of all the visuals are breathtaking! One of the best looking games of 2025. Combat has improved from the first game in my opinion, exploring, just taking all the vistas in. Atsu an amazing protagonist in this new tale. Play it!

This game is immersive, beautiful, and a surprisingly great sequel to an already great game! The voice acting is also really impressive, I'm already looking forward to doing another play through. Worth every penny.

Haven't finished it yet, but so far every bit as fun as the first one! Very happy with this game, and with gamestop closing most of their stores, Best Buy is the best place to buy games lately! If you loved the first game, definitely buy this one!

If you like open world combat style gaming this is the title for you

Ghost of tsushima had a great protagonist, plot and gameplay and that made it a tough act to follow. Atsu is almost just as good of a character(more personality but sometimes frustratingly headstrong) the story is almost as good but the gameplay is definitely better. The travel is improved with horse speed and attack options as well as an even more versatile tool set. There's even a nice side quest that pays heavy respect to Jin. 9/10 or 10/10

My personal GOTY. Just edged out Bananza and Expedition 33 in my opinion. It doesn’t start as strong as the original, but the gameplay changes and mastery of the combat system along with a compelling story, make for a wonderful experience.

Best game of 2025. The game immerses you into the world of Atsu.

great game and in my opinion better then GOT due to the side quests being more interesting and the character doesn’t follow the code of the samurai so completely different feeling
