My kids love the Ghostbusters just as much as their dad

Went to see this in theaters and I enjoyed it. Didnt love it but it completed an 'original' trilogy of Ghostbusters. Since then I have thought about the film and its growing on me. Decided to use a $5 dollar Bestbuy rewards certificate and buy this 4k edition. I think may more than enjoy and possibly love this movie now. So enjoyable and now i can say that Gozer is an ACTUAL threat this time opposed to the original film. I feel that Vigo the Carpthian was actually scary and a real threat. Now Gozer is a real threat! Bring on the 4th film and please be great! Great quality 4k picture! Recommended!

What a great film to connect to the old legacy. Plus that ending scene brings tears

Not as good as the originals, but definitely fun and worth watching.

First off Ghostbusters was my favorite movie as a kid. The sequel in 89 was weak but still worth watching. I was actually excited about the reboot in 2016 and while it wasn't as bad as all the hate it got it definitely wasn't great. Now we come to "Afterlife", I came in with very low expectations seeing how its primary focus is on Spengler's daughter and his granddaughter who has no idea she's related to a Ghostbuster. I was so wrong about this movie it was fantastic. It definitely deserves the Ghostbusters name and is now one of my favorite movies.

Excellent transition from original in a subtle way. Story line is well done. Enjoyed the special features. Actors were hilarious while staying within the storyline. Podcast was my favorite character with his narration of what his camera was seeing. Egan's granddaughter shows a lot of spunk. She seems to know that there are supernatural forces causing the unusual happenings in the town and old abandoned mine just outside of town. The challenge is to figure out how to get rid of the supernatural force and contain it so it will not be a problem again.

It's a great movie and the Blu-Ray is excellent. But unfortunately, the 4K version isn’t actually true 4K. Instead, it was upscaled from 2K, which is a little higher-resolution than 1080p. It benefits a little from the extra bit of resolution and HDR is nice, so it might be worth it to get the “4K” version. Though, the “4K” version only costs $6 more than the HD version, so you’re not really spending that much more for it. If you have or are planning to buy the first two movies in 4K, it might be worth it to get Afterlife in “4K” even if only to keep it from standing out next to the 4K versions of its predecessors.

Really enjoyed this movie! This is what a Ghostbusters continuation movie SHOULD be. Has a ton of nostalgia for fans of the 1984 film, but is great for bringing in new fans. This film is also much more family friendly than the original film (no sex or sexual references, and only a little "foul" language) and I could recommend for young teens and older preteens. The 4K itself looks really good. The video quality is nice and rich and crisp. Audio sounds great with clear highs and deep lows.

I'm pleased to say that this is the best Ghostbusters film since the original.It understands what worked for the first two films (which the reboot didn't understand): great humor juxtaposed with a serious threat and a sincere dedication to the backstory of said threat. We also finally get a film happening someplace other than New York. And you can't do much more different than the large city than a small country town used here. The rustic landscape looks really good.

For some reason I held off watching this new version of Ghostbusters. I LOVED the first one and have watched it many times. Part 2 was OK, as well as the recent one, "Answer the Call." "Afterlife" is AMAZING! Such HEART. Bringing back the original crew was BRILLIANT; it brought a tear to me eye. By bringing in a new generation, this opens up the franchise to a whole new generation. One of my favorites this year!

Glad I waited to buy this in person, I am a stickler for physical media, and this was exactly what I wanted. The 4k cases are always sleek, and when I cannot get ahold of the steelbooks, at least the normal 4k sets still look amazing. The audio always beats streaming no matter what, it's always louder and clearer. The visuals too, as great as streaming is, with the physical media, I never have to worry about wi-fi or data.

Love the cinematography and special effects for this. I don't think I've seen a movie come so close to feeling like it was made during the 80's. Also, the opening and ending to this are so excellently done. The former in particular is something you could show in film school on how to properly shoot a scene. Highly recommended. I think this is the type of Ghostbusters that people have been waiting for for a long, long time.

This movie checked every box for quality that you could want in a 4K movie. From sound to visual impact, it was beautiful and met the challenge of this format. No draw backs here, the extras are great, entertaining and informative. Personally, we loved the storyline and hope for a sequel, but that's rating the movie, not the product. If you are building a quality 4K library, we would definitely suggest adding this to your collection.

It was ok,the best for me is the original Ghostbusters. But if you want to watch an updated Ghostbusters movie,I think any fan should at least give it a shot.

As the title says, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a touching return to the franchise. There is plenty of love, homage, and easter eggs sprinkled throughout. I was surprised by how much I liked the characters and how good the story was. It balances well as both an introduction to Ghostbusters for new fans and a fun return for those who were already fans. I really loved the movie and highly recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars

As a big fan of the first two movies with the original cast, I thought this was an amazing way to send off Ivan (Egon) at the end of the movie. Seeing everyone come together and still have that little spark of campy humor brought me back to watching the original. Love the fact that the Ecto-1 vehicle was an actual barn find too. This is definitely I watch over and over again.

The original Ghostbusters came out in theaters way back in 1984 when I was 14 years old. I've loved this classic film for almost 40 years now! I was disappointed with the 2016 remake that didn't quite live up to the spirit of the original, but I loved this new sequel that reunites the original Ghostbusters with the next generation while honoring the legacy of the 1984 classic. Two thumbs way up!

Fans of the Ghostbusters series will just love this film. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a wonderful film that plays homage to a main character and actor who was lost to us a few years ago. Just for that alone, the film is a must see. You may find yourself getting misty eyed. The visuals are perfect and I could not think of a better cast. Treat yourself and family to one of the best films of the past few years.

Excellent mix of new fun and nostalgia. The younger actors were all true professionals and played their parts convincingly and well. The story is touching, and does a good job of honoring the joy of the original Ghostbusters, as well as the character of Egon and the actor who played him, Harold Ramis. This 4K copy is quite excellent as well, with good audio mixing and picture quality.
