Best gaming laptop hands down and very reasonably priced

While this is not necessarily a "terrible" laptop (hence 2 stars instead of 1), I would hesitate to call it good. It is light, has a sleek look and can perform decently well in most games. From the outside looking in it looked like a great deal and was the best price per spec laptop I could find, however after owning it for a while I have noticed some pretty serious flaws that any one considering purchasing this computer should be aware of. First: This sucker gets hot. The cooling system is NOT anywhere near adequate for the internals. I am looking at CPU temps of at least 90 to 92 degrees Celsius when running anything even somewhat demanding (see reason Four for at least one reason why this can be a very bad thing). Beyond that, it is LOUD. Like holy crap, couldn't they had just made the fans a bit bigger and fixed both of these issues for a fairly low cost? Hopefully you're not in a warm climate, because not only is the laptop cookin, but the battery charger also gets HOT! Second: the build quality is ok, but it's no where near great. Last year I purchased a Gigabyte laptop for my wife with an RTX 3050 Ti for $550 (this laptop was $850 when I got it), pretty much everything about the build quality on her laptop is better including the screen (the screen on this laptop has pretty sorry colors), hers has a metal frame whereas this one is plastic, to the cooling system which on hers seems ironically to be somewhat larger and more capable. Third: along with the build quality, the speakers on this machine are absolutely TERRIBLE. Like some of the worst I have ever heard in my life (watch any video review and they'll say the same). I am undecided as to whether I will be keeping this computer or not, but if I do I will be installing some speakers out of a different laptop 'cause sheesh, these are horrid! Fourth, and probably the most grevious: Likely due to the incapable cooling system, the "should be" great internals in this laptop seem to preform far, far below what they ought to in benchmarks and real-world testing. I have found several other review videos and online forums that have shown similarly disappointing results with these laptops so I know that I was not simply given a lemon. Several gaming laptops from other manufacturers with the RTX 4050 will significantly out preform this laptop with a 4060 in gaming FPS as well as benchmark test results. The battery charger coming in at a mere 150w could well be another choke point to the performance assuming one could somwhow solve the heating issue. a 230w charger would have been far more suitable for the power required by the beefy internals in this laptop (this may also contribute to why the charger gets so dang hot). While it may be possible to undervolt the CPU in this laptop, it is a pain in the keester since adjustable voltage is disabled in bios, so you're pretty much stuck with the heat. All in all, sure, on the website it looks like a fairly beefy laptop sold at a very decent price, however, it lacks the cooling efficiency needed to make full use of the great internals therefore leaving, me at least, feeling like I've been ripped off and quite frankly, falsely advertised to. That said, It can still run some pretty demanding stuff but don't expect it to preform up to what it should be capable of. I kind of wish that I'd have saved a little money and purchased a cheaper RTX 3060 or 4050 laptop with better cooling that could actually handle what I want to throw at it. I may return this laptop but currently am still on the fence as to whether I want to go through the hassle or not since it does perform far better than my 3 year old laptop with a gtx 1050 Ti and I'm afraid in the end I may end up with something else almost just as loud, hot and annoying anyway... I would certainly not recommend purchasing this laptop. I think it'd be far smarter to find a good deal on an acer nitro 5 or something similar with a better build quality and cooling system.
