Customers regard the AERO 16" 4K AMOLED Gaming Laptop's battery life as a significant drawback, with many citing its short duration on a single charge. Cooling performance is another area of concern, as some users experienced high temperatures under demanding workloads. While the laptop's powerful components are appreciated, these thermal issues and poor battery life are frequently mentioned downsides. The overall experience appears to be hampered by these shortcomings.

First off, I'd say this is not worth the cost. It may be powerful, fast, and have a beautiful display. But, the cooling is terrible unless you want your fans to overpower the speakers in Db. Running any type of high load immediately sky rockets the temps, but you have to manually change the fan speeds... Also the battery last for about an hour, within a month of owning. Not to mention if the computer is charging while your using it, & you go to unplug it (or vice versa). The screen goes black while the only fix is turning it off and back on. This laptop is riddled with other bugs & wouldn't recommend anyone buying it.

Really bulky and terrible battery life. The 4k is great but even if you get the 3080 ti gpu you still can’t really game on it because of the 60hz refresh rate. It would be ideal for creators but MacBooks are cheaper, better build quality and honestly preform better. Either get a reall gaming laptop or a real creator laptop but this one is just an odd mix of both that only kinda works

I am really enjoying this laptop. I’ve had issues with other brands in the $3600-4200 price ranges prior to finally getting this one. It has pretty much the top specs in a laptop in this price range. I do a lot of 4K video editing and some data analytics for my company. This computer does it all! The Windows 11 Pro works great and the extra ports youre able to add to this is also a neat idea. The picture is beautful. I really enjoy this computer.

Speed was great, but it was heating up very fast and the battery did not last more than 1 hour. For such an expensive computer, that is not fantastic unfortunately

I bought 2 of these laptops, thinking that even though they are pricey, they would be well worth it. Well, both of the laptops started acting up after I installed the Windows updates. The computers power on, the face id camera flashes, but then the screen stays blank. And no matter what I press, how many times I reboot, the screen only returns about 25% of the time. Ridiculous for $4K brand new computers. I am returning to the store.

Got it on sale for close to 40% off the msrp, I am impressed my the amount tech packed into this form factor when other brands will charge 2500-3000 for the same specs. for 1500 i got 32gb ram , 2 tb ssd storage, top it with an Oled screen. too good to be true. Unless there are major defects, i cant seee no reason to get this to replace your old laptop.

While I did not buy my AERO 17" from best buy (they only had last years model available at the time) I am very happy with my purchase. The 17" has mini-led instead of OLED, meaning it is slightly less power hungry.
The one thing which you will find if you do get one is that Gigabyte got aggressive on two fronts. One, they minimized the ports. This is easily accomodated, and they did provide a small hub for anything other than Thunderbolt 4 ports (there are two thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-C on the body). Second is they really got aggressive with cooling, which from a good point minimizes the throttling of the system, but at the cost of fan noise if the unit gets hot (and it can get hot under a load). The fan noise can be controlled by putting on one of the more silent modes, but that compromises cooling. Just keep potential fan noise in mind. It doesnt bother me at all.

Similar Product Crashes During Normal Use

I bought a similar laptop for pretty non-intensive uses like web browsing and playing old games, but it would crash regularly to the BIOS screen. The first instance of this was during the Best Buy return period, but rather than return it I did a factory reset which seemed to fix the issue. Several months later the same issue is back, and two factory resets later the process failed and I have a brick on my hands. Best Buy is refusing to offer a refund on a product that is not acceptably functional.
