I have never really been someone that likes buying or utilizing gaming laptops because I feel like you pay a lot of money for something that is usually underpowered with regards to desktop gaming systems. However, I finally caved & gave a gaming laptop a chance. Unboxing & First Impressions I have had numerous laptops over the years with most of them being geared towards just simply work or doing video & photo editing. So while I've only ever had I think 2 gaming laptops now with this one I still know that I like to have a laptop that is sleek, not bulky, looks premium & feels premium. I could tell as soon as I took the Gigabyte Aero X16 out of the box that it was going to check all of those boxes for me. It isn't super heavy but it does have a nice weight to it so it isn't like a thin-book or the like. However, I can see myself using this laptop for extending gaming sessions with ease. Rating: 5/5 Screen Whether I am doing work tasks, watching a movie, or playing CS2, the built-in screen/monitor was very nice to look at, utilize, and so on. I was able to do some audio and video editing from my last trip to the local drag strip to then upload to my YouTube channel. While not a 4K screen it still looked nice even with most of the runs at the drag strip having happened later in the day and so it was dark out (of course the track has lights) but still whether on the track with the bright lights, or going through the parking lot to let my car cool down, the colors were clear, crisp, clean, not muddy or washed out-it looked really nice. I am extremely happy with how it looks. Now, I do have a very nice 4K gaming monitor that I hooked the system to using my dock and the GPU made use of that monitor with no issues whatsoever. So, whether I'm at home, or on the go, I can do everything I need to do on this system. The built in screen is 165hz and so it will allow for high FPS gaming. Rating: 5/5 Keyboard The only thing I wish this laptop had that it doesn't is a full size keyboard. My gaming laptop I had years & years ago had a full size keyboard, so I wish this one did too. As I find it much easy to utilize when gaming, I will say that when I play FPS games (like Counter-Strike 2) I always will use the same gaming keyboard & mouse I have been using for over a decade now, so it's not too big of a deal as I just hook up the laptop to my dock and so utilize the keyboard & mouse I am used to. But, it would have been nice to have the full size keyboard as well since I do use the ten keys when I am working (I do a lot of spreadsheets, some coding, etc). Again, I can make due when traveling, and utilize my dock with keyboard & mouse at home, but it still would have been nice to have a full size QWERTY keyboard. I won't dock the rating because I knew going in it wasn't a full size keyboard but something to be mindful of if you do utilize the ten-key keypad working, gaming, etc. Rating: 5/5 Gaming Gaming is where this thing really shines (it is a gaming laptop after all). With it's 165hz, 1600p, and the RTX 5060 I was playing CS2, Need for Speed, WWE 2K25, Madden 25, AEW Fight Forever, and loads more. Some of those games will cap out the FPS to 60 but some will allow it to run as high as your system can run so I had a nice mixture of seeing the system maxing out the display at 1080p and then locking at 60fps for other games. I am extremely happy to get to be able to take this with me when we travel & play games while I am the passenger in the vehicle or if we end up couped up in a hotel/condo/house/etc during a family vacation. I also get to let my kids play on it too. And they are jealous as they have desktops that they can't easily lug around with us. So I'd say they probably have gamed on it a little more than me, but that's okay, I'm sure it'll even out more as the "new" wears off (but probably not lol). Sure, there are other gaming laptops out there which can run all games, at 4K, at 60+fps but you'll be spending anywhere from twice to five times as much on those gaming laptops. I think this at it's current retail price is a really good system that will last me for years and years to come. Rating: 5/5 Conclusion I have never had a Gigabyte laptop. I've had Gigabyte motherboards in the past, and I've always liked them. So I am really glad that I was able to snag this laptop. It does everything I need it to do from work, to video & audio editing, to some gaming both at home and on the go. I think if you give it a try then you will find that it does everything you'll probably need it to do as well, and at a really good price point! Rating: 20/20

In the box is the laptop, charger, starting guide. First Impression - Even inside of the box, you can feel just how lightweight the Gigabyte Aero X16 Copilot is. It’s nearly weightless, one of the lightest laptops for gaming that I’ve ever held. The small starting guide is written in the box but the entire package is eco-friendly, no extra paper or plastic waste. The laptop rest is a pair of cardboard pieces when nestled into one another make the perfect vented stand to place the laptop on. The laptop itself also feels rather small, almost smaller than your average two in one. The box that it comes with can be reused and has a handle, but the laptop itself is small enough to fit in even some larger purses, so using that as a carrying case seems inefficient. Its hardware features an 80% keyboard with no ten-key; two usb-a, one usb-c, HDMI, DC-in, and Ethernet ports. I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn’t sure what to expect with such a thin laptop. After some short setup, you can use the computer’s Gi-Mate feature at the press of the corresponding key on the keyboard. Gi-Mate virtual assistant who makes adjustments to your computer’s hardware however you ask it to. Turn up the fans, change the keyboard color, turn on gaming mode, all at the quick button press and request of the Gi-Mate. And despite its size, its AMD Ryzen 7 core runs all the latest PC games with ease; and its nearly 1000GB storage capacity means plenty of things can fit in its tiny package. There is only one issue I can think of, that Gigabyte more than likely already thought of. Without some sort of lift the laptop does warm up fairly quickly. This isn’t a problem for anyone that already uses some sort of laptop stand, but I wouldn’t advise leaving it flat with no ventilation. Overall I feel like the Gigabyte Aero X16 Copilot is good competition to all the more well known gaming laptops and truly stands toe to toe. It’s impressive hardware packed into a slim and lightweight design make it a very good gift choice for gamers on the go, or anyone that prefer its ease of carry over a bigger laptop. I would recommend to friends and family!
