This is without a doubt the best gaming laptop I have ever used! That is a very big statement to say with all the great laptops out there, but the GIGABYTE Aero X16 brings the goods. Speed, storage and video quality are all outstanding within their respective areas of performance. Let’s start with the looks of the X16. It’s matt space gray shell with the GIGABYTE name in a gloss holograph is very modern looking and does not feel cheap.
The touch pad is generous and measures 5.25” x 3.75”. The area to set your hands on, on either side of the touch pad, is also quite large, allowing you to set your hands comfortably. The keyboard is very easy to type on with good reaction while typing or gaming. The keys are backlit and cycle through greens, blues, purples, oranges and yellows. The X16 has you covered with all the peripherals you might need. On the left side of the X16 you have the power socket, an internet Cat six jack, an HDMI output, a USB-a and USB-c inputs. On the right side of the laptop 2 USB-A interfaces and a headphone jack.
As for the specifications, the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 @ 2.00 GHz is more than enough power to game like a pro. 32 GB of RAM ensure that you never glitch while gaming or viewing video! The SSD 1 terabyte hard drive is more than enough to store your games. NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 Chip with built in 8GBs and GeForce Game Ready Driver, bring gaming and video quality to a new level. Details are sharp and clean with no video lag at all on the beautiful 16” screen. While playing games the cooling fan goes on and off, but it is never loud or distracting.
One area that really surprised me was the sound quality for a laptop. The inclusion of Dolby Atmos for the laptop’s speakers really impressed me. The sound was full and had a spatial sensation that I hadn’t expected.
This is about as good as it gets when it comes to gaming laptop performance. The X16 is really that good!

The GIGABYTE AERO X16 is a sleek, portable 16-inch creator‑gaming laptop that pairs a Ryzen AI 7 350 with an RTX 5070 for strong QHD+ performance and useful Windows AI features in a light chassis.
Its 16-inch 2560×1600 165 Hz IPS panel looks crisp, and the 32 GB RAM plus 1 TB SSD feel roomy, while the RTX 5070 runs at around 85 W with a MUX for smooth 1440p play using upscaling, though 8 GB VRAM and the lower power cap limit ultra/4K ambitions .
Cooling and battery life are solid for the class, the IPS lacks OLED-level contrast, and Gigabyte’s software can be clunky, making this a great pick if portability and QHD+ gaming matter more than chasing the highest-watt GPU modes

This laptop is a beast. Super fast, great screen, and handles everything I throw at it — from work to gaming to multitasking like a champ. The build feels premium, and the keyboard is actually comfortable for long sessions.
What really stands out is how well it fits into a modular setup. I’ve been able to tweak and optimize it for my workflow, and it keeps up without breaking a sweat. Fans stay quiet, thermals are solid, and the performance is consistent.
If you’re into speed, flexibility, and a clean design that doesn’t get in your way, this one’s hard to beat.

Great gaming and productivity laptop. I needed an affordable laptop that would be good for gaming but that could still do what a laptop needs to do, which is run for 8 hours on battery during productivity work. The low wattage Ryzen CPU makes this possible and the Nivida 5070 GPU is great for gaming. Its thin, the build quality is good for the price and most of all the battery life is acceptable for a work laptop.

Traded in my old laptops for credit to buy this PC. Fair trade for old laptops. It's a very powerful PC. Nice and cool and quiet while sitting on my lap with a blanket on. Lightweight yet powerful. Better than my old PC with DDR5 RAM and a crisp fan makes multiple apps and gaming a breeze and TWU!

Starting out, the packaging was very adequate and stood firm. Getting everything setup was very easy and fast. Getting into the aspect of how it runs, and what it can run. This laptop included Borderlands 4, I had gotten the game and downloaded ran the game at 100 FPS at medium graphics, it would fluctuate between a low of 75 and a high of 100, though where the flaws began was the very very loud fan when running this game, I have a high end stereo system in my room and I had to turn the volume up on about 25-30% when running borderlands 4. Or at cases at night I would have to wear headphones. Though with most gaming laptops this is common, very loud though. In comparison to other games like ROBLOX- it runs this flawlessly at 144fps no drops. FORTNITE at medium to low graphics at 60-80 FPS And Minecraft with medium BSL or complementary chasers at 75-85 FPS. Battery life watching a 4k movie or YouTube video lasted me 5 hours. Gaming on higher end games lasted me 1.5-2 hours. I would substantially give this product with the price of $1350 (when not on a major sale) a 8/10 it’s not perfect but it will do about anything you want at 60 FPS minimum on medium graphics.

It is a computer with excellent capacity, it is quite light for its range, it has a lot of power, it struggles a little to dissipate heat when using its graphics card, but given its weight and components, I don't think that's a bad thing.
Its battery is quite long-lasting.
Overall, it's perfect if you want a laptop with excellent performance.

I got this laptop on sale for around $1200, which is an absolute steal. After 2 weeks, here are my notes:
- Screen looks amazing, feels extremely smooth from the 165hz refresh rate.
- For 32gb of ram and 1tb of storage, price is a great deal.
- I'm not an intensive gamer, but have been able to run fortnite and rocket league with 150fps+ on high settings.
- Connect to three 1080p monitors using a Dell WD19 dock and runs great
- Frame feels extremely sturdy, all metal and not plasticky like some other laptops.
- Battery life seems solid, haven't tested with much performance heavy stuff on battery.
Overall, a great computer to use as a daily workhorse and moderate gaming.

Great Gaming Laptop for the Price

I've had this laptop for about 4 months prior to submitting a review to give myself some time to use it.
Overall, I have found it has met my expectations as a gaming laptop as well as an everyday use laptop. Its performance in graphically intensiveness games have been impressive and the screen being 2560x1600 has been a great display to use.
The fans can run quite loud when using a high % of the CPU/GPU, but it undeniably fulfills its purpose of keeping the laptop as cool as possible.
The laptop, to my surprise, was lightweight and sleek even with it being a 16" screen, so moving it around has been no problem. Its an overall thin laptop that packs a lot into it. That plus it being 165 hz makes it great as a gaming laptop.
My only critiques:
The power connection to the laptop is a straight connection, for longevity I believe it should be a 90 degree connection. I've seen in the past that these straight connections when in a bent position end up wearing down quickly.
The other thing I noticed is some buzzing coming from the laptop at times that can be quite audible. I originally thought it was a the fans, but after playing with the settings and having the computer on, but with the fans off, it was not coming from there.
I think it boils down to being coil whine. It can sometimes be a bit distracting because I noticed it will occur when the computer is at practically no load as well. So if you are in a quite space, it will be noticeable and audible over the fans.
Overall, I'm quite happy with this laptop, the coil whine can be unfortunate, but for the price, it is great bang for one's buck.

Highly recommended for professionals who need power and reliability.

ive been runnning this setup for a few weeks now and its been awesome the usbc4 port comes in handy and the Copilot Ai on this computer genuinely amazes me everytime i use it..for the price of this laptop you get a good gpu and cpu and a good amount of ram.. for another laptop with these specs you will easily spend an additional 500-700 dollars.. this laptop works great for whatever your needs are whether you plan on gaming or using for video editing/3d rendering... it still has an extra m.2 ssid slot to be able to add more storage in if you wanted...The 16:10 screen may take some getting used to if youre used to playing games on 16:9 but that wasnt the case for me

If you do not plan to do anything too intensive with this laptop, it's a great laptop. It has a MUX switch for battery preservation during lighter tasks. The build quality of the chassis is solid and navigating the inside of the laptop for repairs, cleaning, or RAM and storage upgrades is fairly straightforward. The laptop weighs around 1.9 kg, which is quite light for a gaming laptop, making it very portable. For 1.2-1.3k, a 5070 laptop is quite a solid deal!
After the initial Windows setup, I noticed that Gigabyte's software (primarily GiMATE and Gigabyte Control Center) are really clunky. They're slow, the UI for Gigabyte Control Center is not too trivial to navigate, and driver updates took way too long (with some even failing the first time around).
Some other notes:
- This computer has a fairly low TDP (85W). If you need crazy performance from the GPU, get a laptop with a higher TDP
- GiMATE auto pins itself to the taskbar and it's very difficult to remove. You also may get some Python-related errors, but it doesn't seem to affect any function within GiMATE.
- The 2025 AERO X16 (this one) has vapor chamber cooling, which should make temps and fan noise quite a bit better than older models.
- The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, making audio quality, especially if you ever have your laptop sitting on your bed, quite poor.
If you need a fairly capable machine with a hefty discount, this is a great machine! However, if you need very high performance or are not in a rush to get a new laptop, I would recommend scouting for great deals on better laptops.

(GIGABYTE - AERO X16 AMD Ryzen Al 7 350 - 1TB SSD - 32GB DDR5 RAM GeForce RTX ) This baby handles everything I throw at it, music creation, games and more. And it's fast! I can even fast forward through Youtube videos faster than any PC or laptop I've had before. If I have any complaint, it's that I can't get quite as far from the unit with my earbuds before audio cuts out. Not a big deal. I've had it for a month and it's a dream. I recommend it for anyone wanting a great gaming laptop and doesn't have a ton of money to spend.

As someone who lives in the Apple ecosystem for actual work, I picked up the Gigabyte Aero X16 purely for gaming—and I'm impressed. The build quality is genuinely solid, which matters when you're used to Apple's attention to hardware detail. The AMD Ryzen 7 and NVIDIA 5070 combo delivers exactly what I need: smooth, powerful gaming performance.
The hardware itself is excellent. Good thermals, premium feel, and the kind of performance that makes this worth having as a dedicated gaming machine alongside my Macs.
Yes, I'm stuck with Windows 11 for now (necessary evil for gaming), but I'm keeping an eye on Linux gaming. Proton has matured beautifully, but anti-cheat software still isn't quite there yet. Hopefully in the next few years that changes and I can ditch Windows entirely.
Quick note: I immediately peeled off the CPU/GPU spec stickers. It's such a Windows PC thing—manufacturers plastering their machines with hardware badges because they can't just let the experience speak for itself. Apple understands that a clean design doesn't need to shout its specs at you. Removing those stickers instantly makes the laptop look cleaner and more refined.
Bottom line: If you're an Apple user who wants a serious gaming rig without compromising on build quality, this is the one. It does exactly what it's supposed to do—game exceptionally well—nothing more, nothing less.
Would recommend for anyone looking for a quality gaming machine that respects good hardware design.

I really enjoy this laptop. It is the same size as my Macbook Air, but it is way more powerful. Sporting a modern processor and a 5070, I am able to fulfill most of my gaming needs. The laptop does get loud when under stressful loads, but the graphics look beautiful on the 165 HZ panel. In fact i am using the laptop right now to do this review. It's hands down the best laptop I have ever owned

Computer has a sleek, professional looking design with some subtle "gamer" implements (RGB backlit keyboard. This is a laptop I'd be comfortable taking to work, but powerful enough to play some games. Screen is large enough that I feel comfortable either using by itself or as a secondary monitor when plugged into another display. Battery life so far has been reasonable, the built in software will automatically turn off the GPU when unplugged to help conserve power so if you are playing any games, keep it plugged in, which is generally what you want to do anyway.
The only downside that I've experienced so far is that right out of the box, it needed some critical driver/bios updates to perform as it should (fan started going at full blast once past the out of box experience), but since the updates everything has run smooth.

This was my first gaming laptop and I am extremely happy with this pruchase. Compared to my old school laptop this felt much more premium and obviously performs way better. I bought this laptop while it was on sale for $1199 and it honestly had best specs in any laptop I could find at this price range. The cooling is very good and it only gets hot in certain parts so the WASD keys only become a tiny bit warm. The only thing with the specs that could really help out is the Vram but other than that it is amazing. I like the screen it is kind of a matte screen which helps a lot with glare. Overall I really like the quality of the laptop itself and it performs very well. For the price, this is absolutely worth it.
