Computer has a sleek, professional looking design with some subtle "gamer" implements (RGB backlit keyboard. This is a laptop I'd be comfortable taking to work, but powerful enough to play some games. Screen is large enough that I feel comfortable either using by itself or as a secondary monitor when plugged into another display. Battery life so far has been reasonable, the built in software will automatically turn off the GPU when unplugged to help conserve power so if you are playing any games, keep it plugged in, which is generally what you want to do anyway. The only downside that I've experienced so far is that right out of the box, it needed some critical driver/bios updates to perform as it should (fan started going at full blast once past the out of box experience), but since the updates everything has run smooth.

Despite being a creator/gaming laptop the laptop is relatively thin and light-weight. The design is not flashy at all, which I like. The performance is also not bad. Here are the lists of games that I've tried and their average fps: -CS2: 250-320 Avg on 4:3 Medium Settings -Valorant: 300+ on any setting and native resolution. -GTA V: 150+ on high settings w/o DLSS -RDR2: 40-50 fps on ultra, 100 fps on low/customized settings. w/o DLSS -Minecraft: 300-600+ fps on Fancy graphics depending on chunk setting. Drops drastically with shaders <110. -S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: 60-80 fps on medium settings. So far I am pretty satisfied with the gaming performance. It's pretty portable, display and speakers are also solid. The material doesn't feel cheap and the keybords don't bend or bulge inwards.I haven't had a chance to test the battery yet. I've been using it plugged in since day 1. The only thing that I do not like is that you can not control the mux switch, not in the GiMate app or in the BIOS. Other than that I feel like this is a steal for 1200 dollars.

It is a computer with excellent capacity, it is quite light for its range, it has a lot of power, it struggles a little to dissipate heat when using its graphics card, but given its weight and components, I don't think that's a bad thing. Its battery is quite long-lasting. Overall, it's perfect if you want a laptop with excellent performance.

I love this computer. I use it for 3d modeling and gaming. Runs borderlands 4 fine on medium settings, armored core 6, and space engineers. Its fun talking to the built in AI to mess with settings. The fans are loud however. You might want to get a laptop cooling stand with it. It does like to get quite hit.

I got this laptop on sale for around $1200, which is an absolute steal. After 2 weeks, here are my notes: - Screen looks amazing, feels extremely smooth from the 165hz refresh rate. - For 32gb of ram and 1tb of storage, price is a great deal. - I'm not an intensive gamer, but have been able to run fortnite and rocket league with 150fps+ on high settings. - Connect to three 1080p monitors using a Dell WD19 dock and runs great - Frame feels extremely sturdy, all metal and not plasticky like some other laptops. - Battery life seems solid, haven't tested with much performance heavy stuff on battery. Overall, a great computer to use as a daily workhorse and moderate gaming.

The GIGABYTE AERO X16 is a sleek, portable 16-inch creator‑gaming laptop that pairs a Ryzen AI 7 350 with an RTX 5070 for strong QHD+ performance and useful Windows AI features in a light chassis. Its 16-inch 2560×1600 165 Hz IPS panel looks crisp, and the 32 GB RAM plus 1 TB SSD feel roomy, while the RTX 5070 runs at around 85 W with a MUX for smooth 1440p play using upscaling, though 8 GB VRAM and the lower power cap limit ultra/4K ambitions . Cooling and battery life are solid for the class, the IPS lacks OLED-level contrast, and Gigabyte’s software can be clunky, making this a great pick if portability and QHD+ gaming matter more than chasing the highest-watt GPU modes

This device was an upgrade, intended for schooling and gaming. The item as a whole is really lightweight and a good size to fit in a backpack and has a comfortably spaced keyboard. This laptop gets pretty loud when it's running a few things, but it doesn't bother me too much. Definitely worth the price, and it was a nice little add on to get a month of game pass plus some other little bonuses. Works well so far, I enjoy the speed and how smoothly games run. No complaints really.

I really enjoy this laptop. It is the same size as my Macbook Air, but it is way more powerful. Sporting a modern processor and a 5070, I am able to fulfill most of my gaming needs. The laptop does get loud when under stressful loads, but the graphics look beautiful on the 165 HZ panel. In fact i am using the laptop right now to do this review. It's hands down the best laptop I have ever owned

Great gaming laptop for a low price. Very solid screen and audio. Very quiet. I returned an ASUS that had a defect in the cooling system making the fan go to 100% even when cool. It was SUPER loud. I've barely heard the fan in this so far. Not even really much noise at full blast.

This was my first gaming laptop and I am extremely happy with this pruchase. Compared to my old school laptop this felt much more premium and obviously performs way better. I bought this laptop while it was on sale for $1199 and it honestly had best specs in any laptop I could find at this price range. The cooling is very good and it only gets hot in certain parts so the WASD keys only become a tiny bit warm. The only thing with the specs that could really help out is the Vram but other than that it is amazing. I like the screen it is kind of a matte screen which helps a lot with glare. Overall I really like the quality of the laptop itself and it performs very well. For the price, this is absolutely worth it.

I have no complaints about this laptop. It is perfect for what I was looking for, handles everything at a reasonable graphics quality, it feels good to type on, the track pad feels good on my fingers, and the battery life is pretty good considering it's a gaming laptop.

Great Gaming Laptop for the Price

I've had this laptop for about 4 months prior to submitting a review to give myself some time to use it. Overall, I have found it has met my expectations as a gaming laptop as well as an everyday use laptop. Its performance in graphically intensiveness games have been impressive and the screen being 2560x1600 has been a great display to use. The fans can run quite loud when using a high % of the CPU/GPU, but it undeniably fulfills its purpose of keeping the laptop as cool as possible. The laptop, to my surprise, was lightweight and sleek even with it being a 16" screen, so moving it around has been no problem. Its an overall thin laptop that packs a lot into it. That plus it being 165 hz makes it great as a gaming laptop. My only critiques: The power connection to the laptop is a straight connection, for longevity I believe it should be a 90 degree connection. I've seen in the past that these straight connections when in a bent position end up wearing down quickly. The other thing I noticed is some buzzing coming from the laptop at times that can be quite audible. I originally thought it was a the fans, but after playing with the settings and having the computer on, but with the fans off, it was not coming from there. I think it boils down to being coil whine. It can sometimes be a bit distracting because I noticed it will occur when the computer is at practically no load as well. So if you are in a quite space, it will be noticeable and audible over the fans. Overall, I'm quite happy with this laptop, the coil whine can be unfortunate, but for the price, it is great bang for one's buck.

This laptop is a beast. Super fast, great screen, and handles everything I throw at it — from work to gaming to multitasking like a champ. The build feels premium, and the keyboard is actually comfortable for long sessions. What really stands out is how well it fits into a modular setup. I’ve been able to tweak and optimize it for my workflow, and it keeps up without breaking a sweat. Fans stay quiet, thermals are solid, and the performance is consistent. If you’re into speed, flexibility, and a clean design that doesn’t get in your way, this one’s hard to beat.

OK, so I have a list of gripes about this laptop right out of the box. (1) The charger is a proprietary charger – I will always hate proprietary chargers in a world where we should all agree on power supply specifications. (2) For some insane reason, the charging light is on the opposite side of the laptop from the charging port. When I got the laptop and plugged it in to charge before initializing it, I genuinely thought I had a brick because there was no feedback at the source. (3) The fully charged laptop seems to last for only 6-7-ish hours of continuous use (like literally doing Windows installs and scrolling online). Nothing close to a full day of use! (4) The display, while being accurate at the Pantone level (colors are beautiful), is clearly uneven during every startup. When you turn the computer on, it opens with a “black” screen with alternating white branding logos – during this branding, the four corners of the display exhibit a strong light bleed that is distracting during the booting process. But once seen, the unevenness cannon be unseen elsewhere. (5) As a laptop, I found that this machine runs hot – I frequently use my laptop on my lap and don’t like a lot of creeping heat escaping from the machine. I was surprised to find out that this machine has two powerful fans inside – they are absolutely silent (but they are displacing a ton of heat here and I prefer a cooler ride). (6) My total install time, from “on” to having fully updated Windows plus Microsoft 365 plus my proprietary virus protection suite was over 2 ½ hours. Not sure how a fresh factory laptop could have an installed version of Windows that would be so far out of what we should be running on currently. (7) Finally, the touchpad is possessed. I feel like there is a tiny lag between my gestures and the appropriate application reactions. And, somewhat arbitrarily, the touchpad will misinterpret my two finger gestures (like scrolling) for three finger gestures (like switching between apps/windows). Absolutely infuriating. It is very confusing that this same model number for the GIGABYTE AERO X16, EG61H, actually covers four (I think) different model specifications. So, the same model number has been given to laptops with varying processors, graphic cards, and RAM configurations. My implementation has 32 GB RAM, a newer graphics processor, and the second-best processor. And, in an interesting turn of events, the newest processor would have given me significantly better performance, and my newer graphics processor (as realized) gives me arguably poorer performance than one of the older cards. To be clear here, this is a powerful machine. It can perform great calculations in business applications, but (according to available statistics) is noticeably slower than the model with the newer processor. Graphics nerds might want to take a look at the graphics card detailed information before relying on my specific implementation (RTX 5070). I would like to offer up a couple of interesting positives after dominating this review with negatives. I think that the sound production from the internal speakers is astounding. Probably the best sound I have ever heard from a laptop. And probably the craziest thing of all – this laptop can be upgraded to 64 GB RAM and 4 TB storage by popping off the back panel. Alas, the back panel requires some brute force prying after removing ten screws, but upgrading is immediately possible once you actually get that back panel open (see picture). My model has a single installation of RAM and you can see the empty slot above it. My 1 TB drive is the slender horizontal module in the middle on the left. There is an additional empty slot (vertically) on the right (looks like any upgrade would require a screw that is not in this laptop). Overall, cool sound and some upgradability isn’t enough for me to recommend this laptop to anybody. Specifications can’t overcome the strange sluggish feeling this laptop has. There are WAY speedier options out there.

I've been using it for Roblox Studio for making a Roblox game. Works perfectly. Also have played Fortnite, Battlefield 6, and Blue Protocol without any issues. I did have to put Spiderman 2 on the lowest settings to get 60+ frames, but it did play well after that. It's been working for everything that I wanted from a gaming laptop. It even has all the ports I need: ethernet, usb c, usb a, and hdmi. I got it while on sale too, so the value for me has been excellent.

(GIGABYTE - AERO X16 AMD Ryzen Al 7 350 - 1TB SSD - 32GB DDR5 RAM GeForce RTX ) This baby handles everything I throw at it, music creation, games and more. And it's fast! I can even fast forward through Youtube videos faster than any PC or laptop I've had before. If I have any complaint, it's that I can't get quite as far from the unit with my earbuds before audio cuts out. Not a big deal. I've had it for a month and it's a dream. I recommend it for anyone wanting a great gaming laptop and doesn't have a ton of money to spend.

Great gaming laptop with enough power to handle just about any game you can throw at it. Had ran into an issue when trying out a game for the first time with the Gigabyte software GiMATE. It had switched from the dedicated gpu to the integrated one and made it impossible to switch or update the dedicated gpu the with Nvidia software as it was showing that there was no nvidia gpu installed. Took awhile to figure it out but afterwards the hiccup, was able to update the gpu drivers and had no issues playing any games.
