THE GOOD: Plenty of connectors and USB on the i/o. Very easy to build with too. looks decent enough, No RGB
THE NOT SO GOOD: Absolutely no instructions at all. not even a link to the site with all the firmware. Bluetooth wont work until you figure out how to get all the firmware. Part of the firm ware includes Norton (the worse virus of them all). No RGB.

The Gigabyte AORUS ELITE AX is a fantastic B650 motherboard. It offers excellent features, including Wi-Fi 6E, and has proven to be stable and reliable. A great choice for building a new AM5 system.

This mobo is great because it has three m.2 SSD slots, built-in wifi, and can have up to 128gb of RAM. For the price it was the best option for my build.

This is the first time that I’ve purchased a Gigabyte motherboard for a PC build. I’ve always used Asus boards because they’ve always been very reliable; however, my last two Asus boards failed. So I decided to try this Gigabyte Aorus motherboard, and its perfect. Fantastic Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, a plethora of ports, 3 NVMe drive slots, some RGB (that’s not overbearing), a great chipset, and a super smooth and easy to navigate BiOS. 10/10 so far.

Good Mother Board but must know work arounds for common installation problems. At first would not power up. I played with main power connector and it finally powered up. If using 2 RAM slots, first install one ram stick in the 4th slot, away from CPU. It should post then. After installing Windows, then install the 2nd ram stick in the 2nd slot (for dual channel capability). Then install the Gigabyte Control Center and install the updated drivers. After restarting, then install the 2nd ram stick in the 2nd slot (for dual channel capability). All should be good at this point. I couldn't install the AMD CPU overclocking software because it stated that there is conflict with the AMD graphics driver. The ram is running at a frequency lower than the specification of 6000. Maybe it is running lower because the system is idle?
I'll play games tomorrow to learn more about the mother board. I just wanted to share a few suggestions for anyone running into installation problems.

Best VRM’s for the buck while also having over 10 USB ports on the back IO 11 type A ports and 1 USB-C. Not a huge fan of Gigabyte’s BIOS but once you figure that out. The manual that must be obtained from the website is very sparse on info and doesn’t even explain or show all menus. On a side note why don’t motherboard manufacturers not include comprehensive manuals for motherboards? They are much more complex and have many more setting but motherboards from a decade ago had a light novel included with them that went over all settings.
No 7 segment display for fish is another strike against this board too.
Bios flashback is a plus though.
If you can get it for under $200 it’s a good deal.

The GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard seems to be a really powerful solution to build a high-performance system with the latest technologies at the first glance. On closer analysis, though, it drops top performance in areas like memory compatibility, which leads to great hassle and disappointment.
**Pros**
Though lacking in so many ways, the GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX still had a few redeeming qualities. It had a sleek design and came with so much connectivity at hand—among them Wi-Fi 6E for fast and stable internet connectivity. The motherboard supports the latest DDR5 RAM and the PCIe 5.0 to future-proof upcoming hardware releases.
The BIOS interface is user-friendly, and many settings are available for enthusiasts who like to tinker with their systems. Besides, it has multiple M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe SSDs—a boon for people who want decent storage paired with fast access times.
**Cons**
Poor memory compatibility—this is the most blatant problem with the GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX. Even with RAM on the QVL, users are reporting huge problems booting up when both sticks of RAM are equipped. It continues to this day despite all the trouble-shooting, updating to BIOS, and adjusting settings. The frustration of catering to a malfunctioning system is further aggravated by the feeling that GIGABYTE support comes off as somewhat clueless, so users are on their own in troubleshooting hell.
The fact that it cannot support one of the most core requirements of modern systems—reliable dual-channel memory—is unbearable. System performance slows dramatically, and one does not derive the intended benefits from investments in high-speed DDR5 RAM. Having to put up with such compatibility problems wastes time and a lot of effort; this is especially a huge drawback where some users expect fluid performance out of the box on a premium product.
**Conclusion**
In summary, even though factory-filled with many lovely features, the GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard has critical issues in memory compatibility, making it a really bad board for system builders seeking reliability. The continuous inability to boot dual-channel RAM, even when on the QVL, negates any benefit it might derive.
**Will I recommend?**
I would not recommend this motherboard at all—GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX. For a product at this price tag, the least one would expect is that all its features and compatibility work seamlessly. The incompatibility with memory is quite serious and frustrating. Unless GIGABYTE fixes these very core problems and teaches its support a thing or two about reliability, use some other motherboard that offers better stability and reliability.

Easy installation, and i love the multiple spots for m.2 drives. The wifi has been giving me some trouble but i use an ethernet so i cant really complain. All connections were very easy to find and most of them have it labled.
