Customers regard the G6 KF 16" Gaming Laptop's performance, RAM, and graphics capabilities very positively, frequently praising its speed and visual quality. However, the laptop's relatively loud fan noise and shorter battery life are common criticisms. Many appreciate the screen size and refresh rate, while some find the device's heat generation to be a concern during extended use. The price point is also frequently cited as a significant advantage.

Gigabyte G6 KF Gaming Laptop with 16-inch 165 Hz screen and RTX 4060
This gaming laptop features an Intel i7-13620H processor with 32GB RAM (4800 megahertz DDR5), a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU (w 8GB video RAM) and a 1TB SSD. Weighing in at 5.1 lbs it has a ethernet port, a full set of (4) USB ports (1 x USB-A 3.2, 1 x USB-A 2.0, 2 x USB-C 3.2) and a HDMI 2.1, 1 x Mini DisplayPort. It has WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, while the 54 Wh battery can charge at up to 150 W through a barrel connector. It has a 15-color illuminated keyboard with a numeric pad, stereo speakers, and a 720p webcam which has a pretty wide-angle lens which I noticed during video conferencing (from 70” from the camera it can view 120”). The 16” FHD+ (WUXGA 1920x1200) screen has super-slim bezels with a 165Hz refresh rate. It comes with Windows 11 Home.
This is a decent budget gaming laptop. I found the membrane keyboard to be comfortable and responsive along with the trackpad. Gigabyte is a brand renowned for making high quality gaming hardware. The High-speed storage and large 1TB size gives you rapid boot, quick data transfers for applications and media fie usage. The Graphics gives smooth gameplay, realistic lighting, shadows and reflections. Though I mostly use headphones for gaming the DTS:X Ultra Audio Technology, integrated microphones, and dual 2W speakers gives you decent voice communication, and rich audio quality for gaming, entertainment, and multimedia applications for a set of laptop speakers.
Playing Final Fantasy XIV MMO I find is a good game to compare performance on. On battery in balanced performance, I could get about 30 fps in an area with a high population of players and expected battery life of 2 hours. On full performance mode it goes up to 80 fps but drops the battery life to around 40 minutes, and plugging in the power supply will bring it to 100 fps. Additionally, the laptop remains at a fairly cool temperature on balanced mode that can only barely be felt through the middle of the keyboard, though bringing the battery up to performance will make the laptop noticeably warm and uncomfortable to have in my lap. If you want to use this thing full out on a power cord I suggest you get a laptop cooler to rest it on. On the high-performance mode as well, you can tilt the laptop backwards and hear a slight clicking sound coming from the fans. Projected charge is about 3hrs from empty.

Good Value for 16 Inch Gaming Laptop

The Gigabyte G6 is a very fast 16 inch mid range gaming laptop with an Intel i7-13620HX cpu and a Nvidia RTX4060 GPU. The screen resolution is 1920x1200 at 165hz and is reasonably bright even in daylight conditions. The keyboard is backlit and includes a numeric keypad. The 54Whr battery lasts about 3 hours in normal use and about an hour or so in gaming situations. It comes with a 1TB SSD and a generous 32GB of ram expandable to 64GB. Ports include two, USB3.2 Gen2 (Type C), a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type A), a USB -A 2.0, a HDMI 2.1, a MiniDisplayPort, and a very handy micro SD card reader. Also included are a 2 in 1 headset/Mic combo jack and separate Mic jack. NO thunderbolt 4 ports are included and none of the USB ports can be used for charging. Build quality is very good for the price although it does feel a little bit plasticky. For a 16 inch gaming laptop, it is relatively light.
I own a recent 18 inch Alienware laptop with an Intel i9 cpu and an AMD 7900M GPU. The G6, of course, is not as fast as the Alienware but still is very fast and easily handled my current AAA game titles at medium to high settings.
In summary, the Gigabyte G6 is a very fast, reasonably built gaming laptop that offers great performance for a reasonable price.

The worst PC i've ever purchased!

This is the worst computer I have ever owned. It obviously came with a corrupted bad install of windows 11 out of the box issues even getting past the setup process to BSOD, being completely utterly impossible to either update or reset with both giving errors. Attempting to simply restart the pc gives an endless loop without ever restarting even after an hour. I will be returning this computer and never buying anything from Gigabyte ever again!

Great Gamiing Laptop at a Solid Price

Having tried several different gaming laptops over the years, I was interested to try this computer. This is a fantastic laptop that can handle everything I have thrown at it. First, the specs. It comes with a strong 13th generation core i7 which is a very solid processor. It also comes with a generous 32gb DDR5 RAM which is typically not seen at this price point. For video it provides an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB RAM. While a very solid card this will probably end up being the bottleneck when it comes to increasing frame rate.
The main game I tested was Microsoft Fight Simulator 2020 since it is a beast on most machines. I was able to get between HD and 2K performance at a decent frame rate. Of course this will depend on where you fly (New York takes a lot of resources). Overall it was playable which impressed me. The only downside of this machine, which is typical of all gaming laptops, is it’s runs hot when gaming and the fans are on most of the time. They are not too quiet either. I have not taken the time to dig into setting to try to adjust this. Overall a great laptop and worth the investment.

This laptop was amazing fot the 4 months i had it then it wasnt. The gigabyte got stuck on the boot screen abd would not load pass it. Took it in and was basically told it was unable to be to fixed under the geek squad protection plan that I had. I don’t know if I had a defective laptop or not, but I will say after it got stuck on the boot screen. I did some research about the laptop and found this is a common issue so I would say save your trouble I literally only had the laptop for four months when this happend. I would say if you have the means to go ahead and get a better laptop like I said, it was great until it wasn’t.

Less than a year and it already broke. took 8 hours to get it back up and running, for the most part. Restarting is always a gamble now and it doesnt recognize the built in audio device anymore.

Just half way between your daily use powerful laptop and your gaming machine. It has a powerful Intel i7 processor and 32 GB RAM with Nvidia RTX-4060. The screen is very bright and wide. High resolution and high refresh rate. Full keyboard (with Numbers). Good key travel without being noisy. The key caps are a bit on the smaller footprint but they are very easy to get used to when writing emails or editing documents. The track pad is very big. Something to appreciate. Camera quality is disappointing. I don't understand why most laptop try to stay with low quality cam...
WiFi is very fast and the range is adequate. Bluetooth is working fine without issues. Fast connecting to my external keyboard/mouse and headphone. The computer speakers are very good. They have true sound. The laptop microphones are acceptable. More on the good side. It is better to use a headphone (when gaming or conferencing).
Battery life is confusing. It would get some easy 5 hours in light usage but it would drop to 2 hours when loading it.
Games run fine without glitches or issues. I've tried several games without any issues. The only noticed problem is the power brick would get really hot when gaming. I've noticed the laptop would draw some power from the internal battery (sometimes). I tried to put the power supply on hard cool floor (instead of carpet) and it worked better. I think Gigabyte should have attached a more powerful power supply.
What I like more about such laptops is the variety of connections. This Gigabyte laptop offers an Ethernet port, 2 USB-C ports, MicroSD card reader, Headphone Jack + Microphone jack, 2 USB ports and HDMI port. There is also has a Mini DP port. Good for any use.
So, in summary: A nice looking laptop with full keyboard, large touch pad, Good connectivity, nice and large screen, good cooling system with powerful CPU and RAM... All for a good price.
Windows 11 runs great on it. The only thing that is missing (out of the box) is the Gigabyte control center. I don't know why it is not installed... Any ways, it is easy to get from their website. The Control Center helps controlling some features like fans speed, keyboard lighting and others.
I'd really recommend getting this laptop if you are trying to get a laptop that is mid way between your daily work tasks (and homework) and your escape to gaming realms. It is not that heavy to carry around with acceptable battery life.
If you want to use the camera, I'd advise you to get an external camera as it would offer better resolution.

This thing is a major upgrade from my last laptop (that gave out on me after several years). I've never been able to run mods with games or play Mass Member Online (MMO) games without severe lag- and now I can! Some other nice touches include a built in mic that works with games (automatically, you can probably turn it off if you want and can switch the primary to be a headset), choosing the backlight color, and a smooth (not raised) keyboard. Also with the Gigabyte control center (press esc and fn at the same time) you can select the performance level you'd like to use for the task.
Some things I will mention that weren't deal breakers for me that might be for others are that the fans are very loud- they will pick up if you are gaming with a headset or the built in mic. This laptop runs pretty hot when gaming with action games, but the fans off put it pretty well- I like to set them to maximum while my game is loading so that it can start moving the heat before it builds up to super heated. Since it's black you'll also notice fingerprints a lot more, keep a microfiber cloth and canned air nearby often. When gaming the battery doesn't last long, especially if you like to play games where full screen brightness is the best setting. Also, while you can choose the color of the backlights in the keyboard, you can't pick a custom color (even though it appears to be an RGB keyboard, not sure why there doesn't seem to be an option to select a custom color). I like to use purple for my backlight, but the purple setting just looks pink to me. I've only had it for a few weeks though, perhaps I'm missing something.

I loved the laptop when I bought it. Worked wonders. Now is a paper weight only after 4 months of use. The computer is stuck in a boot loop and has suspected hardware issues. Went to Best Buy geek squad to fix and they they said they couldn’t fix it nor send it to gigabyte to get repaired. Recommend not buying this product and getting a system Best Buy would send out for repairs if needed.
