    I Really Like This Laptop

The GIGABYTE - GAMING A16 (16" 165Hz 1920x1200 WUXGA Intel Core i7-13620H - 1TB SSD - 32GB DDR5 RAM - GeForce RTX 5060 - Black Steel) is a good value for a medium-level gaming laptop. PC gaming used to be a desktop computer-only affair. But, today, there are powerful laptops, built for gaming, offering performance that will satisfy the vast majority of gamers. The high-end units are impressive, expensive, and very heavy. However, there’s an increasing number of companies competing for the entry-level to medium-level laptop gaming market. As a result, it’s not hard to find a decent gaming laptop for the casual to mid-range gamer. The GIGABYTE - GAMING A16 is one of those. I like this laptop for a number of reasons - especially for it’s price-range. * It sports plenty of power and solid graphics * It offers a 1TB SSD storage * It includes 32GB of DDR5 Ram! (Especially nice) * The display is beautiful and the 16” size means you can enjoy gaming on the laptop alone. * It is thin and light * It does not include a bunch of fancy flashing lights for style (This is a matter of taste. I’m not a fan of laptop ‘bling’). This also makes it more palatable as a general-purpose laptop. I really like this laptop. Any issues? The only thing I encountered was a slight misalignment of some of the ports. I encountered this when plugging in both an HDMI cable and a USB dongle. It wasn’t a big thing because both went in and worked fine. But it did require giving the process a little more attention than I’m used to. Definitely recommend the GIGABYTE - GAMING A16.

The Gigabyte Gaming A16 laptop is a very capable laptop that can handle any game you throw at it. While it is not super flashy with RGB pouring out from all angles, it is still a really good laptop that does its job very well. You get lots of ram coming in at 32 GB, a great processor and a very solid RTX 5060 for those graphic-intense games. You’ll also get a 1TB SSD to get you started. While this laptop comes with everything you need to game out of the box, I’d recommend adding more storage space. Games these days are incredibly large in size and you will definitely want that extra storage. Certainly not required, but something you might want to add down the road. I’ve been playing Overwatch, Red Dead redemption 2 and various other games and frames are not an issue. For example, I was pulling about 80-90 FPS on Cyberpunk 2077 ultra settings. Frame rates will vary depending on your settings, of course, but I’d say the Gigabyte A16 does the job very well. The full HD+ display is great. You get plenty of pixels to display your games and everything I have played looks really great. Battery life will vary drastically depending on what you are doing, obviously. I’ve never owned a laptop where I didn’t just have it plugged in. You’ll get several hours for YouTube or content consumption. Any AAA title will nuke the battery in 1-2 hours, however. Overall, I really like this laptop. It does what I need it to, fits in my bag and is a solid, well-built machine.

I had a lot of bad luck with this product, because exactly one week after it arrived in my country (in Romania), it broke, its processor no longer works...

    Good but with small issues

Great laptop with some small quirks. The Gimate AI feature is quirky and doesn't always work or is delayed. I found it best to just disable it. The MUX switching is problematic. Half the time it gets stuck on the internal HD graphics and the only way I can get it to recognize the RTX 5060 is to restart the laptop. I also had to uninstall the included drivers and then reinstall the geforce drivers directly from the Nvidia website. These are just small issues and I believe, with a software update, they can be optimized to perform very well. That being said, once I had figured this all out and got the laptop running good, I am very impressed with it's gaming performance. I played a few different games, all recent titles, and I have the say the visuals and gameplay were outstanding. For a laptop of this price point, I am happy. I was getting anywhere from 80 to 150 frames per second and the resolution and graphics were set to max settings. First person shooters played so smoothly and racing games were flawless. I thought it would cost well over $2000+ to get this kind of gaming performance. Battery life is good. Storage is good but with today's games being such large files, it'd be nice to have a larger ssd. Overall, it's a great laptop for any gamer at a wonderful price point.

Great gaming Laptop not too bulky

The GIGABYTE - GAMING A16 Laptop is a pretty powerful device. My overall experience with it was nothing short of impressive. At first, I was very skeptical as it seemed a little smaller than my last gaming laptop, and it didn't have 10 10-key keyboard, which is a big deal for me. Once the initial setup was complete, which didn't take too long, but you can't control how long the operating system takes, and once I ran the updates from Gigabyte I was ready to start gaming. At first, I just gamed for about thirty minutes and had some fun, but then I really wanted to put this thing to the test, and I began to live stream myself gaming, and the laptop held up really well. You could definitely tell that there was some strain on the CPU/GPU and memory while this was taking place, but overall, it went well. The laptop isn't big and bulky like other gaming laptops, and easily fits in most laptop backpacks. For what it is, I consider it very lightweight. Overall, if you bought this laptop, I don't think you would be disappointed.

    A Really Great Gaming Laptop

I was excited to receive for evaluation and review this Gigabyte A16 16" Gaming Laptop. With a 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM it sounded like a really great gaming laptop. The Gigabyte A16 comes loaded with: 16" display panel, illuminated keyboard with multi-lighting settings, , microphone, webcam with a webcam indicator, touchpad, ethernet, HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 A & C ports, power indicator, speakers, audio combo jack and dual cooling fans. After unboxing the Gigabyte A16, it took very little time to plug it in and begin to set it up the way I wanted it to be. The gaming laptop comes equipped with Windows 11 preinstalled along with Microsoft security and other Microsoft software. There was very little, if any, junk software that sometimes comes with other computers. The Gigabyte A16 exterior is made of a black metal. The Gigabyte A16 is an extremely nice well designed and built laptop, somewhat heavy due to its metal jacket and high-speed gaming components, and easy to set up and get running. The speed of this gaming laptop is excellent and keyboard nicely illuminated and easy to adapt to. I do not hesitate to recommend the Gigabyte A16 Gaming Laptop to you!

Great laptop but with Gigabyte AI software garbage

Gigabyte's newest Gaming A16 GA6H is unfortunately another example of how a manufacturer can make a great product, and then they feel the need to add unnecessary AI "improvements" that no one needs or asked for. Hardware: The Gaming A16 features an Intel Core i7-13620H processer and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7. This particular configuration has a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 32GB of DDR5 RAM all packed into a 16" 165Hz 1920x1200 panel that looks amazing. The hardware is great and it makes the Gaming A16 a more than capable mid to high-end gaming laptop with great cooling in a nicely designed case. While I personally feel that 16" laptops are on the larger end of portable, the larger display is nice if you are actually gaming on the go. The additional space also makes it easier to cool which is a nice benefit of these larger laptops. Software: GiMATE, Gigabytes entry into the AI garbage that no one needs and no one asked for. The software takes all of the actual useful features that were already included in Gigabyte's previous management software and adds useless AI bloat to help you more "easily" manage stuff that doesn't need to be managed. Their previous software already included automatic power, performance, and cooling optimization which they now attribute to AI, the ability for the AI to help you quickly find what you are looking for used to just be called search. The only thing that they look to have added is their AI privacy which lets you know when someone is possibly looking at your screen. It will then either notify you or switch content automatically, this sounds like a huge privacy concern to me and also a huge inconvenience if you are using this in a crowded area or even in an office environment. Verdict: While I don't feel that Gigabyte has made the correct choice by changing their software to the new GiMATE, I also don't feel like it causes enough of an issue to not recommend this laptop. Find a way to disable the unneeded AI garbage and enjoy what is an extremely powerful gaming laptop.

GIGABYTE - Gaming A16-165Hz Intel Core i7 Laptop is an amazing Laptop. Packaging - Very well packaged with keeping my laptop secure and protected. I received my laptop and was very impressed how secure it was in the box. Options and ports - The ports and options are numerous and accommodates all of my devices.` It is rather light on the USB-C ports, but I have a port extender so no worries. I have several devices which uses the USB-A ports and this laptop helps me alot. Build quality - exceptional. A very nice heavy duty laptop that I can take with me wherever. I like the large screen it is amazing to see the action and entertainment on this size of screen. It runs very quiet and keeps rather cool for all the stuff going on in it. So much is packed into this laptop. The graphics and performance is at another level. I am starting to use the GiMate softwareand looking forward to all the enhancements to my sound and speakers for my meetings. I have only had a couple so looking forward to more so I can do deep testing to verify how much this laptop goes above and beyond the standard laptop. I would defintely recommend this laptop to anyone who needs a high performing laptop no matter the use case. But wow is all I can say. Blown away by this one.

    Great Intro to Gaming!

I'm a huge fan of what you get with this gaming laptop. It hits all the boxes for me, and I feel like it's a great way to satisfy any needs you may have for a laptop/gaming rig. To start, it comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which comes in clutch if you do a lot of multitasking, academic projects, play RAM-intensive games, or use your laptop for work. I've never needed more than 32GB, but your use case may vary. The screen is also great with a 165Hz refresh rate and a crisp 1920 by 1200 resolution that is more than enough given the size of the laptop. I found gaming to be pretty good. Games played fluidly, and I didn't feel like I was missing out on performance given the hardware on the laptop. Using an external mouse or game controller really elevated the experience for me. The fans did get pretty loud in my opinion, but that's not something I care too much about, and it's pretty typical with gaming laptops. Battery life wasn't life-changing and drained pretty fast while gaming, but that's to be expected. It also has plenty of ports and a 2.1 HDMI port, which is more than enough. Overall, I think this is a great laptop and would be great as a secondary computer or intro to gaming, depending on the person's needs. Comes well equipped, and it's worth being considered!
