Best purchase over Christmas I made. I can’t believe how much better the picture quality is over my old monitor. The game settings, such as presets for different type of games, timers (up and countdown), crosshairs, ability to turn on and off devices, etc were an added bonus.

Like many other reviews for this monitor, the backlight bleeding is excessive. Was hoping the one I just received with a manufacturer date of 10/22 would be better as this monitor has been out for quite a while now and you would think that would be fixed. Sadly no. Colors and brightness are great. SRGB mode is very nice. KVM is slick. Not much else out there at this price point that is better. Stupid panel lottery.

Wow. Amazing refresh rate, response time & resolution. All for a reasonable price. This monitor is a great buy. You will have to reconfigure cleartype on windows due to the BGR subpixel layout, but still a great monitor.

Pretty good screen quality with slight backlight bleed only noticeable in darker scenes. The high refresh rate is a big plus in games. The HDR isn't very noticeable as the screen doesn't get bright enough however for the price of $300 it isn't a feature I expected to use. All in all I'd say it was defiantly worth the price compared to other options available.

Excellent performance for its price point. Multiple credible reviews laud this model. Agree that SDR is better setting, especially in dark settings, due to dynamic range limitations. A great budget gaming monitor for 165Hz and 1440P.

Good monitor for usually a pretty good price, be aware of the BGR pixel layout, google it to check out details, but you may have to mess with a few settings to make sure dark text on white background looks properly sharp. Otherwise great.

Pretty good pice for a 1440p high refresh rate monitor. I decided to get it after watching the Hardware Unboxed review. So far I'm satisfied with the gaming performance. The KVM feature is the biggest perk for me personally because it makes my WFH setup so much simpler!

I got this monitor because I wanted something good for gaming that is also capable of productivity tasks. The monitor is really great when playing games, but it's not so great for everything else.
The main issue I had with this was text clarity when using this monitor for productivity. No matter what cleartype settings I used, I could not get consistent text clarity throughout all apps. I believe the reason for this is the use of a BGR type of panel in this monitor rather than the RGB type used in most monitors. Researching this, I found that most apps generally render fonts in a way that's optimized for RGB.
Other issues I had were some significant backlight bleed when the screen is dark and also the uniformity in luminance, especially near the edges of the screen, was not great.
Shortly after returning I bought another model that cost about $100 more, which seems to be money well spent, because I am well satisfied with the replacement, which has none of the issues the M27Q has.

This monitor gets a 4 out of 5 stars for a multitude of reasons. The first reason is that there was an obvious backlight bleed on the bottom left of the screen, which was disappointing but not entirely terrible. It seems to be a bit better now as it is not as noticeable. Additionally, I did not know that to get the 170Hz, you need HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4, which is an annoyance as it was not stated obviously in almost anything I saw about this monitor and only learned about afterward. Paired with other issues, like the difficulty to navigate settings initially, made this a 4/5 for me.

Beware, BGR subpixel layout. Default color/preset option looks very bad. Must be adjusted to proper color and brightness.
Very smooth panel. 170hz is insane. I only wish they made this panel with a RGB layout. Check RTINGs if you don't believe me.
Not bad when configured right but you will be messing with the settings for a while. The top review on here has a setting that isn't bad at all, but a bit warm.
The BGR subpixel layout makes text strange to read. You may not notice.

CONS:
USB-C CABLE NOT INCLUDED
Once I realized that I needed a different type of USB-C cable the setup went smoothly, but it took me a while to figure out that not all high quality USB-C charging cables have the data transfer speed needed. In the end I purchased an Anker Powerline II which has 10Gbps data transfer and supports "SuperSpeed".
I really wish that this monitor was shipped with an appropriate USB-C cable, or that it was more informative about what was wrong with the setup. It pretty much just turned itself off and would not even let me look through the menu options when the wrong cable was plugged in. It made me worried that the monitor was defective.
LAPTOP CHARGING
It wont pass through enough power to charge up a laptop, which can be a problem if you only have one free USB-C port, because one is plugged up with a security key.
POWER BRICK
The monitor has one of those awkward power bricks that sits half way through the cable, that never seems to be the right length on either side. It can be tricky to get it set up so that it is not dangling precariously mid air or taking up room on the desk.
MENU NAVIGATION
I found the little nubby thing frustrating, but this is probably mostly due to the monitor constantly turning off when I had the wrong type of USB-C cable connected, so I guess the real issue is turning off instead of giving a useful message.
ONLY 2 USB PORTS
It would be nice to have some extras, for speakers, or other peripherals that could be used by more than one machine.
PROS:
STAND
I'm very happy that the included stand is actually tall enough for me, I'm only 5'6" but very short stands are still a common problem. I actually stopped using the monitor arm I had been using because this was easier.
OTHER CABLES
It came with the USB-B cable needed to pass the USB inputs for mouse and keyboard from the monitor to the desktop, and quite a few options for connecting video (although not the obscure Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable I needed for my ancient graphics card).
LOOK
It's nothing flashy, just a simple clean design.
SCREEN
This is a nice monitor. Things look right and move smoothly like they should.
CABLE MANAGEMENT
This is why I purchased this monitor. When working from home I basically stopped using my own desktop because everything was always plugged into my work laptop, or rather the hub that plugged into my work laptop. With this setup I can quickly switch between my desktop and a USB-C laptop, and I no longer have a ball of wires coming out of a hub laying awkwardly in the middle of my desk.

Pretty good monitor

Its a pretty good monitor. Fast response time, of course its not as quick as the more expensive ones like the Samsung gl850, gp83b, acer predators ect. Still pretty quick for the price.
In terms of color, its not bad, its not perfect but pretty good (at least mine looks good) Usually for non-gsync certified monitors, the monitors need to calibrated significantly to get it right. (Gsync certified monitors need to be calibrated in order to be certified by nvidia)
Even though its freesync, you can still use gsync, you just need to set gsync in the nvidia panel and set freesync to on in the OSD.
When you get your monitor, download and install OSD sidekick so you can update the firmware.
Now, if you are coming from an old TN panel like me. Then you will notice a great improvement in switching to an IPS monitor.
However, if you have experience with higher tier monitors like I listed above, this is a down grade. You get what you pay for when you buy this, the quality of the build is so-so. The toggle stick for the OSD is very flimsy. My monitor is slightly off on the left side which is about 1/8th of an inch lower than the right. Its hard to notice unless I look.
on a bright side, no dead pixels, but monitors are a lottery, just got lucky I guess.
Like all IPS monitors, there is IPS glow, mine are on the bottom left and right, however, if you adjust your ambient lighting in your room and the viewing angle of your monitor, you can minimize the effect.
The contrast levels are bad, its greyish which is normal for IPS.
If contrast is important to you, then you should get a VA monitor.
The important thing is that there is no light bleed. If you have light bleeding, return your monitor, its defective.

I was excited by the features and price point of this monitor, and the fact that it was actually in stock. Unfortunately it was too good to be true as many other reviews around the internet have said.
Overall I had to return and re-purchase this monitor 3 times with no luck in getting a good panel.
First panel (manufactured Nov 2020): Dead pixel just below center view, some backlight bleed
Second panel (Nov 2020): Dirt under the screen and terrible backlight bleed
Third panel (Dec 2020): Clusters of stuck pixels around the center and top left corner but absolutely no backlight bleed or IPS glow
In the end I was forced to purchase a more expensive monitor to get close to the same refresh rate, though I will sorely miss the KVM feature that is exclusive to this monitor. If you get lucky with Gigabyte's poor QC then congratulations this is a fantastic and unique monitor for the price point; but I couldn't justify endlessly trying my luck. Best Buy offered me a 10% credit despite the fact that the replacement was 1.5x more expensive.

I use these in a triple monitor monitor setup for sim racing. They perform really great. I don't see screen tearing, or any issues at all performance wise. 2 of the monitors of a dead pixel in the very top corner, which is common for these, but it doesn't bother me at all. They are a little difficult to mount to a vesa mount, but if you plan on using the stand, no issue. These are really great for triple screen gaming and I really enjoy them, especially at the price point.

My Favorite Monitor So far!!!!

Got this Monitor back in March of this year, and so far I love it! I hooked up my Ps5 to it and everything is really good about this monitor. I loved it so much i bought a second one! And secret feature that is not stated in the specifications is that it can go up to 4k in resolution. Now there are a few small critiques about this product. 1. There is some light bleed through, however you can only really notice that in a all black loading screen. 2. The kvm doesn’t really work, this also could just be a user error on my part. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get a beginner gaming monitor!

Excellent picture and quality for the price. My only complaint would be the recessed VESA mount which can be a little difficult (if using a Dell monitor arm for example), and no ability to position the monitor vertically with the default stand.

Switched to the M27Q as my primary monitor from an Asus PB278Q.
Solid performing monitor, I was lucky enough to have minimal light bleed with no dead pixels. Very fast performance at picture quality overdrive without any ghosting. I found that text looked fine on this monitor.
The colors were a bit too saturated but this was easily fixed with the OSD which was well designed.
Height and tilt adjustment work very well and a nice feature to have at this price range. The short bezels also make the experience a lot nicer with the less interference.
