Dead pixels
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dead pixels and unacceptable backlight bleed. Everything else about this monitor was good but it seems gigabyte Quality Control is poor. I purchased 2 and returned them both unfortunately.

Horrible quality
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have it for 8 months. It has an internal crack on the screen that is visible when you turn it on. There was no punch or hard force toward it. I only grabbed it to put it to spot B from A. I called GIGABYTE and they say the 3 years warranty does not cover the damage. It is like a joke when they say 3 years warranty when you purchase.

Great budget monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it on sale and use it with my iMac and ps5. The brightness is pretty dim and the speakers are terrible, so make sure you’re using headphones or your own speakers. I can’t complain for how cheap I got the monitor, but don’t expect much from it. I read that other people had dead pixels, but my monitor was perfect out the box. So if you want a cheap monitor that will get the job done, this one is for you. If you want something brighter, better speakers, a FULL 48 gpbs to utilize HDMI 2.1 on the ps5, then this isn’t the monitor for you. Other than that I don’t have any problems with it. Does what I need it to, all the other things are just preferences

A Fantastic Monitor with a Minor Drawback
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think I'd give this monitor a 4.5 if I could. It looks great, has a built in KVM (extremely useful for work from home!), has decent colors and brightness, multiple input sources, great size, 4k resolution, high refresh rate, HDR (more on this later), and it was a great price in comparison to other options. The only drawback I can find with this device is the HDR. It's not the best and although it's one of the things that drew me to the monitor, it's almost non-existent. Regardless, it does still have HDR and it does make the image looks slightly better. Just keep in mind that if you are looking for a good HDR experience, this probably won't cut it.

GIGABYTE M28U: Elevate Your Gaming Experience

The sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication to my gaming station, and the build quality is top-notch. Overall, the GIGABYTE M28U exceeds expectations and provides an exceptional viewing experience for both work and play. 4K144hz KVM goodness
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super great screen, wonderful refresh rate. The KVM switch was a lifesaver when switching from laptop to PC for work/gaming. I noticed the colors are vibrant, text easy to read, volume good via speakers (not great quality but audible). Recommend if you are an early adopter of 4K144 otherwise, wait if you can. It will get cheaper and better as tech improves.

Great monitor, but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: Great monitor, problems with multi-monitor setup and nVidia graphics card/drivers (probably not the monitor's fault) This is truly one of the best 4K monitors on the market right now, while also being one of the most affordable. The picture quality and color accuracy are outstanding and my panel had almost no backlight bleed (that I could notice anyway). The KVM is helpful for anyone trying to add more than one device. The high refresh paired with a powerful graphics card allows you to experience high refresh rate gaming in 4K, but it comes with a huge caveat that ended up leading me to return the monitor. To get that high refresh rate, both the DisplayPort and HDMI ports require Display Stream Compression (DSC) and there is a known issue with nVidia's drivers where there are issues having multiple displays if any of them use DSC. This has led to me getting random black screens that last a few seconds every time I'm on the computer. I'm not sure if AMD cards suffer the same sort of issues and from what I saw online single-monitor setups don't have as many issues (if any). Some people have reported that you can also turn down color settings and/or lower your refresh rate to keep the display bandwidth under the point where DSC gets enabled. However, that didn't work for me. If Gigabyte had gone with a full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port instead of relying on DSC, it would be a non-issue because I could still use that port without DSC kicking in. Hopefully they implement it in the next generation.

Incredible value with no compromises!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K@144Hz is such a beautifully crisp experience! I was a bit worried about the colors on this monitor, given the price, but I was pleasantly surprised - they are awesome! Image is clear and colors are vibrant. This monitor is rated for HDR400, which isn't the brightest out there, so I just keep it off. Having a built-in KVM switch is a super intuitive addition and makes this monitor even better. For those wondering, there are speakers on this monitor, but they aren't great (most monitor speakers aren't, so this isn't a bad thing to me). Overall, I couldn't be happier with this monitor. Definitely recommend! Side-note regarding HDMI 2.1 and next-gen consoles: I see a lot of people complaining about HDMI 2.1 monitors not outputting 4K@120Hz on their next-gen consoles and lowering their ratings on monitors like this because of it. Next-gen consoles cannot even output most games at 4K@120Hz due to hardware limitations. Users of these consoles will likely see 1080p@120Hz and 1440p@120Hz, defeating the entire need for HDMI 2.1 to begin with.
