But the coil doesn’t come with enough length nor does the coil sit right, regardless of which way you align it.

Posted .Sorry to read about your issues with the coiled cable. Could you kindly please check if the connections at every point of the coiled cable are fully connected, especially at the adaptor?
Please be sure that the securing screw from the board cable is closed as the adaptor’s male connection not being fully pushed into the other cord could cause issues. Hope this helps!
