The keycaps and switches that came with this keyboard are great. The only switch that I am thinking of replacing is the space bar and that is due to my heavy thumb clicks. This is of course subjective to each user. One other thing to be aware of is that the LEDs are north facing. This could affect certain keycap types if you look to replace them. I have been really enjoying this keyboard though.

This appears almost every time I turn my PC off and back on. The changing of individual key colors has been a pain and never worked properly so I just use the preset profiles. Swapping switches is almost fool proof but not entirely, ruined a few pins on some switches and during installation also ruined the board that runs the switches.. a youtube video and a soldering iron with some scrap wires saved me from having to purchase a whole new keyboard since they do not sell the board separately, even on their own website. Overall, it’s a great keyboard and I love the customizations I’ve made with the switch changes but they need to do just a little better for such a high end keyboard.

However the software to customize lighting and macros is non-functional (Core v2.1). Check out the glorious Reddit to see details. There are some hot keys that you can use to cycle lighting effects (more info on the Reddit). A representative has stated that the software is being worked on but it has been some time and they are still posting that it’s a work in progress. Previously I had an older Logitech that didn’t have replaceable switches (at least without de-soldering) and wanted something that was more user serviceable. The Logitech software was miles ahead of Glorious’ and they get criticized for their software too. If Glorious only had usable software my review would most likely have been a 5. It is plug and play with Windows 11 so it can function without the software but you can’t really customize it so it mostly defeats the purpose of having a designer kit.

Even though it's definitely been a while since we released the last CORE 2.1 update, please rest assured that we have new updates coming in the following period that should address confirmed bugs and issues, including RGB customization, keybindings, etc.

Standby lighting doesnt work - lights will turn off when idle and ive spoken with support and this has been an issue for mutiple software versions. There are other know software issues that have been known and not fixed - just check google or reddit. Epomaker sounds and feels better and is less expensive. I wanted a tactile 100% with a volume knob and the epo aula f108 pro does what glorious does but better and less expesnive.

My one tiny insignificant complaint is the switches actuate at a very high point meaning they're very sensitive and it takes very little to register a keystroke.
