I purchased this crushlamp as a gift for my kids...and ended buying another one for me. I bought it with the intent that it would be a toy, a tool and a teaching device. My kids love flashlights. I wanted my kids to learn responsibility by using the light then having to charge it the next day. I also wanted them to learn about solar power/electricity. This light did all of this. Pros: Solar powered, long run time on low setting (highest setting run time is about three hours), candle setting that flickers, portable and collapses to about the size of a CD case. Cons: Regular price was $25 (I got mine for $15 on sale....recommend that price if you can find it). Lastly, this is a great device for times when you lose power because of the lack of need for fresh batteries and the handle on top allows you to hang it. The abity to charge via the sun or micro USB port is a plus also. We use our nightly to cut our electric bill, it is fun and easy to carry around.

I love Goalzero! I have 400w goalzero portable solar generator 4 years ago and still running great til this day. This LED lantern has small, thin footprint. It can easily be stashed in my backpack or glovebox in my car. But i use it as my nightlight for now. It has 3 modes - dim, med and bright but not as bright as a beaming flashlight. This lantern is an addition to my vast collection of portable lights! Having a small solar panel on top is convenient when you take a roadtrip and place it on the dashboard while you drive to juice up more power. The accordion-type transluscent body made of quality rubber makes it very portable as pop open then close. You can charge the lantern via micro-usb (cable included) with a powerbank. I am keeping it!

Flattens out to be very thin. You can charge via USB or charge with the sun as it has a solar charge deal on top. Nice and bright and you have 3 brightness settings.

Collapses to nearly nothing, can charge from the sun and has a great assortment of brightness options. Gonna have to buy several more!

Everyone needs to be prepared for blackouts that happen at the worst times possible. You can charge it up via the mini USB built in but also if you have to charge you can do it with the solar panel that is built into the top of it. It takes a while to properly charge it but if for any wacky reason you needed it, you have it. It folds away neatly as well.

Small and easy to carry and pack for camping works great after a good sun charge.

This lantern is great. It charges quickly via USB or the solar panel. It lasts for hours from a full charge. The three light levels are great for use in a tent vs. outdoor, and the flame mode adds a nice bit of ambience. It packs down very easily to fit just about anywhere and is lightweight enough to justify taking backpacking.

Has a variety of settings and it is very light and compact.

I use this light for my tent when i go camping i just hang it on my tent and it lights up my entire tent, I can charge it using a micro-usb cable or with the sun and it is collapsible so it doesn't take much space when it is stored

I am planning a road trip and really think it will be useful. Other than that I used it mostly on my front porch and saved electricity by not using the porch light.

I like how flat is forms for storage, the different light settings and how easy it is to hang.

The three settings of brightness are helpful. The collapse feature makes it easy to transport.

Bought 4 then immediately took them tent camping for use by me and other family of various ages. Fun to "crush" flat as well as pop open as large as we'd like to its limit. Whether conveniently hanging or being carried to the bathhouse in the pitch of night by its handle...perfect! They charge easily, and at low light setting, which is perfect for in the tent after dark, they retain charge for multiple nights. I enjoyed the medium and high light settings to read my newest book series into the night for my me time. This camping trip, we only had one sunny day out of 5, so we charged them the first day easily via USB, instead of using the solar option. Again, bc they crush flat and are relatively small, they are easy to store, taking very little space. You should enjoy these too! Note: in initially using, you must hold a button for 10 sec to remove demo mode in order for unit to charge. When you hold, the light will eventually go off. Then you can charge. Somehow I must have counted faster on my first unit but didnt know to look for light to go off that it was ready, so my first unit "charged" but stayed in demo mode cycling through light intensity modes, hence not really charged. Once I figured out my error, the others were simple to charge and we enjoyed all 4 lights the entire trip. Great light!

I hung this light up around my campsite at RAGNAR. I had, thank goodness, pre-charged these They throw a nice glow in the site and I like that I could turn them off when needed. Unfortunately we had rain and clouds all three days so I couldn’t charge them for the second night.

Highly recommend to everyone. Great for car, emergencies, camping.. so versatile. Charges easily with USB. Have not yet tried Solar charging. I Originally purchased Two. However like so much that I am ready to purchase more! Great for gifts as well.

This is a very versatile light that's compact and very bright.
