Will not directly charge my iPhone 7 Plus... =(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an older version of the nomad 7 and I have used it backpacking a few times. The worst feature is when the panel loses strength due to clouds or shade and stops charging the phone. I would have to unplug the phone and plug it back in again. I bought this new panel because it is supposed to eliminate that problem. It MAY eliminate that problem BUT this panel will not directly charge and iPhone 7 Plus. The phone does not recognize the device (yes, I used an OE Apple Cable). Good news is, I have a few battery packs that I can still charge up and then use those to charge my phone at night so I guess I'll keep it! The panel itself is very rugged and clips to the outside of my pack very easy. It is small and lightweight and perfect for camping and backpacking!
