I am a long-time Goal Zero user. Have the Yeti 1000 and 3000. Bought the 1500x to upgrade the amount of solar I could push into the generator. Tried everything, including spending a bunch of time on with Goal Zero. The MPPT port (the only APP on the 1500x) cannot reliably accept more than 355w. I ran several setups, using only Goal Zero panels. At one point got to around 420w for less than a minute, then the controller would stall, go to zero, pontificate how to draw energy from solar panels, then restart charging at a much lower level (around 233w). Only way to try to get higher input was to reset and try it all again. Goal Zero customer service is good, and they shipped me another to try out. The second one never got above 355w on the main panel, regardless how many panels I put into it. Again using all Goal Zero combiners and solar panels. Customer Service really didn't have an answer. Going to return both. Unless they fix this issue, stick with an older setup, like the 1000, 1400 or 3000.

This Goal Zero Yeti provides all of the power that I need while camping. I used it as a backup to my battery in my popup camper and it worked great. Basically I just plugged the camper into this Goal Zero Yeti as if it was plugged into shore power.
