What can I say this is the greatest franchise to ever have Grace gaming. It's God of War it speaks for itself. Does take a little bit of getting used to after all these years but once you get back into it it's Epic. Then you can jump right into God of War 2018 and then God of War Ragnarok. I will always recommend God of War

God of War III Remastered on PS4 brings Kratos’ epic revenge story to life with stunning visual upgrades and fluid gameplay. Like many newer fans, I picked this up after playing through God of War (2018) so I could experience for myself the last chapter of the Greek story. Epic is the only word I can use to describe this game, and even that is a bit of an understatement. It does play very differently from the newest GOW, but I am guessing most people have looked at or played the older games, and know that. This game also has a lot of replay value, something I think is sadly missing in a lot of newer games. Now if only Sony would re-release the first two GOW games with this kind of quality...

Nothing changed from the original release gameplay wise. No new DLC or anything. They really only increased the resolution and the game runs at 60fps. But the combat and puzzles and story stand the test of time. If you have never played this entry in the series and only have a PS4, it is worth picking up. It explains the back story of the first two so you won't feel confused if you never played them. Plus, the Greek mythology in the game is great.

If you previously played this game and are a fan, it's totally worth the money. It looks great, plays great and really rekindles the fire and fun of playing this game again. You'll be quite satisfied to revisit this gem, it looks and sounds amazing. The camera mode they put in this game I found to be quite interesting. You can take pictures of the excellent art and work the developers put into the game and save them as wallpaper etc. If you have never played the game before or have taken a long break from it by all means give this game serious consideration. It has some archaic mechanics like QTE's here and there but its a classic action game with an epic over the top story of Gods and Monsters and shameless violence. God of War 2 is a personally favorite of mine with this game running up as a close second. The PSP game Ghost of Sparta was also a very well made game I would recommend which can be found on the God of War Collection for PS3. There's no reason not to by this classic one more time and support the series on PS4. It's very well made with non stop action you won't want to put down till the end. Excelsior! The game is fully patched and updated for PS4. This is the third and final game of the trilogy which first appeared on PS3.

It’s the perfect game to have in the library for when a group of friends come over and you want to play something that’s simple, fun, and can be comfortably finished in a single sitting. It does admittedly play it pretty safe with its level design, and as a result there is some tedium that creeps in towards the tail end of the campaign or a single sitting arcade mode run, but these shortcomings are for the most smoothed over thanks to fun combat, a charming and nostalgic pixel aesthetic, and one of the best soundtracks of the year so far.

Best out of the original trilogy. Concludes with a great setup for Kratos to enter Norse mythology

God of War 3 was one of my favorite PS3 games and being able to play it on my PS4 is a thrill. The graphics and sound have been updated - it looks like a current gen game. The action and story are superb. Any fan of the PS4 God of War needs to play this prequel to gain more knowledge of Kratos’ story.

No need to explain if you haven’t experienced the Greek saga of this game then you are missing out, one of the best videos games of the last 15 years

Before I get into what's new in this re-released game, I first must say that God of War 3 is an incredible game. It was great back in 2010, and it's still great now. For this new release of the game, there's not much that's been done. The game has been remastered, and now runs at 60 frames-per-second and 1080p. The only other thing that's new is a photo mode. That sounds great in theory, but much like you don't have control of the camera when playing the God of War games, you have very little ability to rotate the camera in photo mode. You do have a variety of filters to take interesting screenshots with, but the inability to rotate the camera is immensely disappointing and somewhat defeats the purpose of having a photo mode at all. Would I recommend God of War 3 Remastered to someone who has never played God of War 3? In a heartbeat! Would I recommend this to someone who has already experienced this chapter in Kratos' story? The answer's still yes, but due to the sparse amount of new features for this release, I'd recommend waiting for a price drop first, making this more of a value.

Even after playing God of War the reboot for the PS4, I still find this to be my favorite. And now remastered for the PS4, it just makes it that much sweeter. Great combat, gameplay, story, and action sequences make this one my favorite.

God of War III is a classic for all of us in the hack & slash genre. A good gory time with an excellent story!

mann this is the OG game i would recommend playing this because this is such an amazing game the gameplay is awesome aswell as the controls they are just perfect for someone who likes an action game it is perfect for a lot of people who would love knowing the past of the god of war

Even games evolve their graphics over time, the fun you can have is different story. GoW3 delivers such a great action, even some games nowadays cannot compare. Solid story line and powerful action play give you everything you need for a perfect game.

What can I say? Kratos before he became a dad... look out because all that rage is unleashed in an epic finale to the original trilogy against Gods and Titans. This game was truly the definition of epic when it was released.

An absolute classic and gem from the PS3 era. The remaster looks amazing and the game holds up really well. This is how you end a saga, not like God of War Ragnarok. This is what God of War should be.

If you loved the other God Of War games and you never played this one when it came out on the PS3, get it! Definitely another great one from the series. The story felt a tad short for me, but that was probably because I played it a little longer than I planned to. Also the controls are similar to God of War 1 and 2, so it wasn't too hard to figure out the gameplay and warm up to old button habits. I gave it a full 5 stars because it looks amazing, gameplay and camera works are really nice, new monster designs and a mix of old designs are great, story is predictable but was still fun to follow and also a great cliffhanger till the next God of War comes out. Looking forward to taking on the Norse world as bearded Kratos!!!!
