This is a solid 1080p/60fps remaster of the PS3 game God of War 3, which originally ran at 720p/30fps. The game itself is 3rd person action, where you control Kratos as he switches between a bunch of different melee weapons to hack and slash his way to vengeance against the Greek gods. Plotwise, God of War 2 ended in a huge cliffhanger which GOW3 immediately picks up in the middle of battle, so if you haven't played any of the previous games you might initially be somewhat lost. However, beyond the intro fight sequence all you really need to know about the story is that Kratos is very angry and kills stuff. I played GOW3 first before ever playing any of the other games in the series, and it was fine. Story is not this game's strong suit, it is the combo-based combat which feels great. If you enjoy other stylish action games like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, God of War 3 will be right up your alley.

great game, though if you played it on PS3... especially recently, do not bother.. it doesn't add anything new other than a higher frame rate. ZERO special features. It is however a great game.

It's God of War 3 just as you remembered it being, but with a better framerate. If you have never played one, this isn't exactly the best one to start off on, but it's a fun one to play. Some aspects of the game are certainly dated by modern game design, but it's a great ride that should definitely be experienced.

I don't mind to play this game again because I like it and on ps4 going to like it more. Too many games on one console that is PS4 not Xbox one or not to say about the Wii u jajajajaja

If you're like me and never had a ps3, I recommend you pick this up. Tough game on higher difficulties, and has good replay value with the unlocked modes and character skins/mods you receive upon completing the story.

I never got to play the original on PS3, so I definitely had to get it and I'm glad I did. The ending will shock you

I bought the game when I purchased a new system.It takes to long to unlock characters. It doesn't offer a lot of female characters in it but I did like some of the graphics except for the jumping when you try to jump up you almost damage your controller because. you have to keep pushing it and pushing it

The God of War series is a classic as always, and Best Buy has never let me down ever. So, yes thank me later after enjoying the game play. Have fun !!!
