This game is a technological benchmark for video games. The sheer scope of everything and the detail of every aspect of the game is simply unbelievable. While the game does take a while to really pick up, I appreciate the focus on story in the first half or so of the game. The game has some of the craziest and best scenes in the second half which more than make up for the slow start. Anyone who owns a PS4 needs to experience this game.

I was skeptical when this game was announced but I have been proven wrong. This game is so amazing. The gameplay and combat is so fluid, the story is so good at sucking you in and staying great throughout, and there are no loading scenes in the whole time (it was all done in a one shot). Can not say enough good things about the game, they also did really well at the open world concept where there isnt so much content it is overwhelming

I initially rented this game, expecting it to be like the previous installments. I realized after 25 hours of play time that I was completely wrong. I waited for a good sale at Bestbuy to pick it up again and couldn't be happier. You will not be disappointed. The gameplay is smooth, graphics are amazing on PS4 Pro (there is a noticeable difference to me between framerate and graphics settings) and the story is great.

When I finished God of War 3, I didn't know how the story could continue. I had hoped we got more games but from a narrative standpoint, I didn't know where it could go. Well, Kratos now tackles Norse mythology and it is awesome. I initially was worried that we would have to babysit his son but I didn't find it a chore. The game is still fast and fluid and it looks incredible. Definitely one of my favorite games this year.

I only played a few hours of the first God of War and never got into the others. This entry into the series seemed a lot more interesting and compelling to play. I have to say that whatever minor issues I have with the game are overshadowed by the fun and interest that I get from playing it. If you're on the fence, rent it first before buying, but I'm sure that most people that like action adventure games will enjoy God of War.

God of War fans were getting weary and put off by the well worn gameplay and totally stale story of the last few Kratos centered games. This welcomed God of War reboot brings a real reworking of the gameplay mechanics and story environment while keeping much of the expected character archetypes and story paths you associate with the franchise. A great PS4 exclusive that is a must play for this console generation.

If you have not played this game I definitely recommend picking it up. It has beautiful graphics, one of the best story lines in a video game hands down. Great game play to challenge any experience level of gamer. The only disappointing thing is the boss battles after the first fight with Balder do not have the same epic feeling of a fight between gods and legendary beings.

As a fan of the original trilogy, and also the entries of the PSP/Vita days, I honestly had so many questions regarding this most recent entry. I had hoped this game would be good, but I didn't expect it to be this great. It's definitely stellar how they've expanded what Kratos is capable of and how immersive this storyline is compared to previous entries. I won't give any spoilers away, but I will say that you should play it!

Great story line, graphics are amazing, and the action is intense. I highly recommend this game.

I've been an avid fan of the God of War series for since the original. And having the series come to the PS4 has been amazing. Not only is the visuals of the game in great detail, but it is also followed up with an amazing story with an interaction between Kratos and his son an experience that I will never forget as a father with my own son. If you are just a fan of videogames in general, this game needs to be in your library.

This is hands down the best game I've played in 2018. The gameplay, the artistic design, the story, the characters - everything delivers. God of War is a true showpiece of everything modern video games have become. Indeed, it's a pinnacle achievement for entertainment generally. This game shouldn't be missed by any Playstation owners, and should be strongly considered by those without the console to consider purchasing one.

I have played every other game in the God of War Series and this one did not disappoint at all. There is so much to explore and find in this game. The Story is Great and the action is so Satisfying. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves a Good story and Great Visuals. If the popular shooters are getting a little repetitive try picking up God of War... you will not regret it. Its a must have for your PS4 collection.

Take all you knew about Kratos as a 1 dimensional that was only filled with rage and toss it out the window. This is a Kratos who fulfilled his mission to kill all the Greek gods. Now we see an older, wiser and different side to Kratos. He and his son are on a mission, and Kratos must prepare his son to be a man, and in the process the son must teach Kratos how to be a father again. It's a must play game, the best GOW by far.

Love God of War. Great story, great graphics and great action. Buy this game now!!

i have to admit at first the notion of introducing a new charactor (his child) had most people wondering if this was going to be a flop but Sony delivers another great title in the GoW franchise. immersive story and fun playing will get in the way of getting actual things other than this video game done. if you play this on a PS4 Pro with a 4K time the details are mouth watering. highly recommended to play on a big screen.

One of the best games this generation. Not too easy, open world, great graphics and story. Was worried about Kratos being transplanted to Norse mythology instead of Greek (which is way more interesting) but it came through. Was really interesting how they tied/explained why the change of "scenery". Also loved the "surprise" ending setting up GOW2

What can I say, it's perhaps the best sony exclusive title. Reinvented, but in a way that takes the god of war franchise to new heights. God of war is an astounding game who's combat and story telling are the reason to pay for admission. Sure the camera view has been changed, but it's a necessary change that makes the combat more engrossing and tense. I would recommend that every playstation owner play this game.

The game came in great condition and the everything is amazing. The game is slower and can be challenging when it wants to be.

This game is a dream come true! Made with love by Santa Monica Studio! The Story, Graphics, Music, Combat mechanics, Collectibles, Quests, Voice acting, Animations all come together to give you an amazing experience. It's a soft reboot from the previous games on PS3 (which I loved all of them). It has done wonders for the franchise. This is a must own PS4 exclusive title. Thank you Sony & Santa Monica Studio!

The story is a great adventure to get lost in, the soundtrack is amazing, and the visuals are top notch. There is plenty to do to spend hours playing and even replaying to really get your money's worth. With a sequel planned to come out it would be great to get this now to hold you till then.
