Very polished and high quality game, but overrated. Some of the puzzles are meh but the beginning of the game and the ending are very great. Some sections in the middle are also meh. Great story telling and good characters. But overall a good game. In my opinion god of war lll was the last 10/10 god of war game. This game is 8.5/10 for me.

Deserves to be up there with Elden Ring. GOW continues to live up to the hype. Story & Gameplay is simply amazing.

It is a decent continuation of the previous installment and the story is okay. The game is getting praise for having more enemy variety, but there is still very limited variety. Get used to fighting the same small enemy types over and over with a few enemy types sprinkled in as you go to new realms. The puzzles are easy to solve but frequently become tedious due to the amount of repetition of mechanics. There are threads devoted to having to disable VRR on the PS5 to prevent the game from flickering. I have had this same issue and the only to fix it was to turn off VRR. Only PS5 game I own that suffers from this issue. The combat is solid as usual, and most of the characters are enjoyable. If you go into this with tempered expectations it is quite good, but far from perfect. 70 dollars for next gen seems a bit excessive. Seems like more of an 8 or 8.5 out of 10 to many of the perfect scores the game has received.
