It is such a great and fine addition to the collection of Godzilla movies. A must have for every Godzilla fan, the box itself is enough for you to want to get it.

They have done a great job remastering this movie for Blu-ray especially since it was made in 1954. When I saw this was coming out from the criterion collection I had to have it. The case is really cool that it’s In when you open it at the top right hand corner there’s this gold out Godzilla that pops up that’s really cool. Plus it comes with a small booklet that tells you about the movie & has some pictures of it. This Blu-ray comes with both the original Japanese version with English subtitles & the American version from 2 years later in 1956. This is a must have for any Godzilla fan or any classic film fan.

What can I say? Godzilla. This collection is awesome and in Blu-ray format too. I recommend this set if you're a Godzilla fan!

Nice product. Wonderful to have both versions of the film in one nice blu-ray package. There is a good bit of scratchiness to the picture, but I gather that this is the best preserved version of the original film that is available. I’m glad to own it.

Bought the Blu Ray of the original Godzilla film for my son and he loves it! We watched it together and I was very pleased with the quality of the pictures, sound and overall presentation of this cinematic classic. I would highly recommend the Blu Ray for any hardcore fan of the Godzilla franchise. Nice extra features too.

I grew up watching all of the Godzilla, Gamera, and many other Japanese monster movies. So its a real treat to finally see them being released now remastered and given all kinds of special features. Both versions of the movie looks fantastic here. I highly recommend adding this set to your collection!

This Criterion release has everything you could want. A beautiful picture and sound, the original Japanese version, the American version, special features. And it’s the one that started it all, it’s an amazing film!

Criterion never disapoints, but this one is extra special. Digibook case with a pop up godzilla effect, a book, 2 versions of the movie, and of course an immaculate transfer. What is there not to love. Go and buy it now!

well. we get both the 1954 and 1956 versions. wish I knew how to set the bluray player for English. but, as earlier indicated you get both original and with raymund burr.

My favorite sci fi movie special effects are dated but the attempt was to make it as believable as possible The original story was a warning about the potential danger of the nuclear age Much better than the commercial follow ons which make Gojira a buffon

One of the most classic monster movies ever made! This and the original King Kong are two of my favorite films. This was my first criterion purchase and I was not disappointed.

Criterion has really outdone themselves with this one. Even people not interested in collecting Criterions should have this one.

They did a great job of remastering this movie for Blu-ray I highly recommend for any Godzilla fan.

What can i say about this film that hasn't alredy been said. This movie started it all. A classic by all means. A must see for young children and adults.
