My first smart camera and it's wireless, which is better for me since I can pull off the magnetic camera of it's magnetic plate to charge it whenever I can. It takes 5 hours to charge, which you can check on the Google Home app. It's easy to turn it on and off and set a routine for the camera. The overall look is pleasing to the eyes, but is pretty bulky in my opinion. Installation for me is easy, so I can't say much but for most of these smart devices such as the smart lock, you need a screwdriver, power drill, and a few more instruments to safely install these products. Finally, I can check my camera from home and places not at home and I receive constant notifications of people passing by my street, driveway, and walking up the steps. The view is clear and stable with no drops I've seen. If you need a camera, definitely gets this.

The Cameras themselves are amazing no complaints. The video quality is good. The audio is fair, remember its a security camera the fact that it even has a speak and a mic awesome. The only Draw back is that you have to charge them ever 6-8 weeks depending on traffic.

Only regret is I that should have purchased sooner. I got an incredible deal with two geek squad certified refurbished cameras. I had been waiting to add these, but noticing the deal made go ahead and make the purchase. Especially since it was certified and guaranteed by best buy. The cameras when paired with the cables are perfect. We have no lag or buffering issues when paired with our nest mesh WiFi router. It really completes our home security system. Although we are being forced to switch from nest secure, we opted for these cameras. I am happy I did. The clarity and recognition is great. I receive notifications instantly, and there is almost no delay from when the camera sees an alert to when I receive it on my phone. The video picture is also very good. Full HD quality, and having the ability to see old footage is great. I would recommend these to anyone considering adding cameras to their home system. The overall build quality, video quality, and app functionality makes these well worth the price. I will be purchasing more in the future, and would recommend google nest cameras to anyone.

Bought the camera refurbished, works like new with no problems. Install was pretty easy and with the addition of a starling hub (ordered separately through another company) I was able to integrate into my Apple HomeKit.

They're a delight, really. They have a very wide angle view so that I can easily overlap all angles around my house. They're very responsive to begin with and I can tone it down or up as needed and set boundaries for where to look for activity. They can be set to look for people, animals, vehicles, and general motion individually so that each camera can be fine tuned for whatever task needed. I plan on getting more in the future. I recommend getting the optional weatherproof charging cord so that you don't have to worry about taking them down and charging them after the already considerable month or two that they last.

Excellent camera! Person, object, and motion detection is very accurate. Being able to set zones is a huge plus. Knocking off one star because you really need to pair with the Google Nest Aware subscription to unlock the full feature set. Pro tip - works great on battery but keep it plugged in for optimal performance

Just installed this camera. It worked great. I wouldn’t buy the adapter.

The ability to choose a "zone" for which activities will alert me is extremely useful since this camera is facing a street. I don't have to have it notify my any time a car passes, but it will tell me when a car pulls up to the curb. The night vision is impressive and the battery life is much better than expected.

I’ve been apart of the Nest family for awhile now… from the Nest Thermostat to the wired Nest cameras. I was kind of skeptical about the battery life about going battery-only, but I’ve had for some months now… no issues with it. I plan on buying a longer cable to plug into it… that way I don’t have to continue charging it. But I like the performance of it so far….

I was excited to recieve my cameras only to find the ones sent were labelled as recycle and were clearly not refurbished. They came without the power/charging cables and were filthy. Very dissapointwd!

Disapointed the locking collar mount plate was missing.

Nice having no cords, but battery only lasts few weeks. So put in a place that can easily be removed for charging. Although, having to readjust the angle every time I put it back after charging is a pain. But I’m sure that’s a pain with any battery camera. I might just leave it where it is & charge via extension cord. Other than that, it takes good clear video. Picks up activity fairly quickly and app notifies me within seconds.

To be blunt, the camera is overall pretty good in all aspects. Night time view is good, sharp picture. Google's home app makes it easy to set up. So far no issues with weather disrupting the camera and it has no cover where I have it installed. Rain and direct sunlight has beat over it and still works great.

These cameras are solid, and their magnetic mounts make installation and maintenance easy. The images are clear and the night vision is bright. I have used Blink cameras and find the Nest Cam far superior to the flimsy construction of the Blink, which I have had to replace due to its inability to withstand the elements. The Nest Cam's ability to distinguish between a person/animal and the wind blowing a branch has saved me from needless announcements that I was prone to getting with other systems. The battery life is terrific after a solid charge.

Let me start by saying that the cameras are so easy to use, move around, and view on your phone. The set up is easy through the Google Home app. The battery lasts for months and the video quality is acceptable with auto night vision . I also enjoy the various mounting options they provide in the box from magnetism to adhesives to—straight up—screwing the mount to a wall. They can’t be a little pricey, but they often go on sale and you can even find them re-manufactured here at BestBuy. I highly recommend this security camera.

Great upgrade from my Xfinity cameras. I considered these because I am a Google user that has other Google Nest products on my home. The problem is that I had cameras from three different systems which means I had to go to three different apps to check any type of surveillance. My goal overall was to try to go to a single pane of glass meaning a single app for all of my surveillance inside and outside of my home. They had a benefit of going with the Google solution means that not only do I have a single pane of glass to surveil my entire property but it also integrates with my smoke detectors my doorbell my screens my television, lights, etc., so all of these things on a single app is beneficial and more efficient. This camera are sharp, the cloud device is great, and it integrates perfectly into my existing Google Home products. I also have Eufy cameras, which are better priced, but while they do integrate with Google Home, their integration is not as seamless. Also, one of the benefits of the new fees is the ability to record only to the base station. Issue here, is that the base station off and runs out of memory after you owned it for sometime so you tend to lose our travel footage. You can pay for cloud storage, but that is an added cost that brings it closer to in line with the Google offerings. Really caught a great deal of catching these open box. This really kicked the value option out of the park for me. This outdoor camera is great. Mounting can be tricky, make sure to take a few minutes to and plan out your mounting options. Dismounting to recharge is very easy, as it is held on with one of the strongest magnet is have ever seen for it's size. It is very secure. All of that said, I am running my with a solar panel. This is a lesson learned from other battery powered cameras I've owned. The benefit is that you can place them any and everywhere, but you have to climb a ladder every couple of months to dismount them and recharge the device. This. Gets. Old...solar panel are highly effective and I recommend this.

Great camera! I’m very happy with the purchase. The only reason for 4 stars is because of one cable/adapter inside of the box. Obviously it doesn’t work without electricity I need the cable and the adapter. I spent $15 extra to use the second camera. It doesn’t make any sense.

Cameras work well. Setup takes a bit longer than most and batteries die quickly in cold climates which I have not experienced with other cameras before. Easy to mount to surfaces and position. Camera pickup is responsive and reliable and pictures are clear.

Super easy to install and great video quality. Night viaion is fantastic.
