Booted right up, mount was easy to setup on the outside of my house. I attempted to charge the camera but the charge time seemed off. Said 1 hour until 100% but when I set it up, it said it only had 50% battery. Not sure why that is, but that's more a software thing in my opinion. Set up was seamless, just open the Google home app. Time will tell about the battery and if the UI is accurate for remaining percentage.

Easy mounting as well. Battery seems to be lasting long, and its weathers some rain and high winds and still stayed mounted and working perfectly.

Very good rendering on my phone as well as on my nest hub (not required). Battery life is excellent at approximately 6 months. Very easy to install.

Posted .Hello there, achahrour93. Thank you for choosing Nest Cam (battery). We can see that you're experiencing some difficulties with the battery holding its charge in colder temperatures. At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the battery can still power your device, but it won’t charge. It may also drain more quickly than usual. At temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C), your battery may have less than half the life that it has in warm weather. The camera will continue to work, but the battery will drain because it can’t be charged. You need to bring it inside to a warm place, preferably at room temperature so the battery can start to charge slowly once its temperature rises past 32°F (0°C). It will charge faster when it warms up.

I have been slowly adding security all based with Google Nest products. Picture it clear, night vision works great, although i wish it had more zoom clarity in the night photos, absolutely could be the lighting in my neighborhood. It is a little bulky hut tucks away nicely. I did add a security cable, given it’s a magnetic hold, which is strong by the way. Id like to get one more, just being the person i am, going to wait on a sale. One dislike. Need to use google home for this camera, not supported with the nest app, annoying since everything else i have is synced to the nest app.

It’s a little bigger than the wired version but it’s not huge. You set it up through the google home app and can watch a live feed even when not at home. Without paying for the subscription service it saves events for 3 hours that you can watch and download if needed. If you pay the subscription service you get access to videos for 30 days or 60 depending on which you choose. Daylight video quality is great and night time visibility works pretty well although it’s black and white. The sensors are very good and will pick up motion much closer than the camera that came with my security system. Battery charges via usb c and looks like it will last me about 3-4 weeks between charges. Overall I’m very happy with this and glad I could get it for a little cheaper

For me took many times to finally get them to connect and work. But once set up it’s very reliable and works great

But I also have a family of Armadillos that keep digging up my plants. At first I wasn't sure what happened but the camera confirmed my suspicion. I also got 2 more when my sister was going through a nasty divorce.

Battery lasts a little over two weeks, so best to install charging cable. New Google software less functional than original Nest software. Google raising annual subscription fee. Still, for me at least, great to have outdoor visuals of home when away.

You can also turn on notifications for certain kinds of events so that your camera will send alerts for types of activity that you care about. Meanwhile, you can save and download video clips from detected events in the video history. The maximum clip length setting for your camera or doorbell will affect how long video clips can be. Then, you can delete your entire video history at any time if you want, and this only affects the camera you select. This will also delete any photo snapshots in video history. At first the battery wouldn't charge but I found I wasn't placing the plug correctly. It needs to be exactly right for it to charge. Shows clear pictures and video and connects easily to google home. So far so good. Good Buy.
