Although these camara's were certified refurbished they have not failed me yet. I added these to my Google app and they work well. One of the camera's is being used wirelessly and the battery is holding up well without me having to recharge it and it is going on 4 months now. The second camera is wired and it is working really well. I am very happy with this product.

Mounting the camera was easy enough for a novice DIY-er like myself. The camera detects motion, people, animals quite accurately and notifies you according to your preference. No require for drilling a new electric line to supply the power to the camera. Battery last amazing. It goes up to 3 months and more depends on how you use it, but I'm super impressed and it is so sensitive that it gives you event notification right away

Older nest ones worked with nest app, came with wired cables, and had better picture quality. This one had to buy cable, and can only view in google home which is not as robust as the nest app. Google really needs to merge the nest app ui in functions into gogle home. The nest app has better alerting, targeted zones, and is more efficent

Our priority with this launch is to build a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbells in the Google Home app. And while the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. We suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view. Also, adjusting the camera settings like video quality, wake-up sensitivity, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas, can help improve your experience.
