Google Pixel 7 pro not for me

I am sure that there is nothing physically wrong with the phone but the voice to type feature isn't available even though I have given it all of the permissions I can find. No Youtube video or any help from the Google support site is available. I am totally frustrated and Google has very limited phone support. I was attempting to get away from Apple because I got tired of having to buy everything from Apple, but now it seems that they have you either way you turn. I am not all that cell phone tech-savvy and really have no interest in becoming that way. I believe that using features on a phone should be more intuitive. I think I have learned my lesson about Android and will switch back to Apple if I can get a decent trade in on this Pixel 7 pro that I can't figure out. On a positive note the camera is pretty good. The rest of the phone is pretty bad
