    I have five cameras including my door bell. If i lose the signal in my home, its a nightmare getting them back on line. I have to remove them from my phone app, take pics of the QR codes and try to hook them up again. This is a royal pain.

We want to let you know, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: your cameras should be no more than 25 feet away from the WiFi router and be aware that some devices can interfere with your camera's Wi-Fi signal, such as microwaves, baby monitors, and mirrors.     Worked well out of box. Does not use Google Nest app if that is what you are used to. You actually access the footage via Google Home app.

    I used google for everything My smart home is google I have google cameras first generation. All i can say is BIG Disappointment I hope they come out with a better product. The camera on battery mode doesn't detect anything within 3 feet. Wake up time is terrible, idk why google decided to come out with this product. Reason why i gave them 2 starts instead of 1 is the looks of the camera.

    Slow to wake up and capture, night video not evidence worthy, misses events… haven’t figured out how to export videos

      Hi JStiff, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re having multiple issues with Nest Cam (battery).

      For slow display, we could be looking at a possible connectivity issue that affects the overall performance of your Nest Cam. It can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest Cam, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Google Home app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help. You can also try setting up your device on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more reliable.

    One camera does not appear to work at all. The other camera is often offline but seems to display history.

    Going right back. What a travesty that Google has done to the Nest Cam/Dropcam legacy, which pioneered this segment. Needed to replace 2 of 6 Nest Cam Outdoors with Nest Aware. I looked on the Google site to make sure these new 2021 models would integrate. It stated yes. Now having opened the box, to find out that these will ONLY work with the Google Home app, not the Nest App with the other cameras. They've literally killed the Nest App with this update. QR code scan on the new model will only bring you to Google Home app, even when adding in the Nest App. (at least Sonos has the courtesy to advise of the divide with legacy products vs new products in their S1/S2 apps plus offered trade in value) Love Best Buy & will continue to shop but now questioning what is out their to replace all of our Nest Outdoor Cameras.

While we’re continuing to support the Nest app, our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. Using the Google Home app provides a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools and with seamless integration with other Google devices. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.
