Not the best deal for sure

Battery and camera is all in one not separable. You can not mount them very high and keep the quality. Google has only agreed to support them for 5 years. I took mine back and bought Arlo instead. 10 x better. Has solar charger, better zoom, easier set up, spitlight, cheaper and they give you an extra battery. It will not work on same app with nest door bell.

For the Price of Two You Actually Get Less!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 pack includes a bit of extra mounting hardware no one really needs (short security cables that aren't really secure?) and gimps you out of a whole wall charger and charging cable — despite being a 2 pack it only comes with 1 charger and 1 cable for both cameras but costs exactly the same as two individual kits that would each include a wall charger and its cable. In short, don't get gimped. Only buy the single camera kits.

I charged one fully and place on the front of the house and with less than 12 alerts a day and checking in a few times it estimates 4 months till recharge. The one on back porch that see nothing most of the time says 7 months till recharge. I also love that they are so easy to move around and relocate if you want.

Motion detection for Nest Cam (Battery) can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
3. Restart your Camera.

In the dead of winter, the battery lasted 4 months on a moderately busy street, an outcome which I was very happy with. Looking forward for the Google Home app update that makes it easier to scroll etc but so far no complaints. Worth it for the sale price I paid

I’m impressed with the clarity and the distance it captures. I’ve been able to look at recordings and can see license plates and can see details of strangers passing along the perimeter of my home. For the price, totally worth it. I’ve bought and used ADT cameras that can’t compare to the quality I get from the Google cameras. I totally recommend it.

Outside ones last me about two weeks if not more. Inside ones about a weekd. I have mine recording all the time. These cameras will not consistently record unless they are connected to a wall outlet.
