    Easy install. Flawless performance. Use over 1 year. Highly recommend. Price on the higher side, but solid quality and operation make it worth the price. Easy to relocate.

    Easy to mount and setup on phone was quick. The battery is good for a cordless device. Consider adding solar panel in the future.

    I have 4 older camera's with the Nest App and they are 5 star. You can scroll back the footage to see anything you want. I just purchased 5 new Nest Cameras which require Google Home App. With this app, you can only review if there is movement. Which is an awful feature and NOT useful.

      Hi there, EfrainP. We appreciate your feedback on the Nest Cam (battery). We're sorry to learn that you're having some video quality issues at night time. Night Vision video quality can be affected by internet speed and other issues. Below are some solutions to try. Check your camera’s view in the app after each one:

      - Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made for cleaning optics. Dust, thumbprints and dirt can cause poor image quality.
      - Turn your camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
      - Use the app to zoom and enhance, and crop out surfaces or objects that may be the cause of the glare.
      - If a bright white shape along the edge appears while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close in your camera’s view (like a wall). Angle your camera so the surface stays out of view.
      - Move nearby objects that may reflect the infrared light.

    Battery dies waaaaayy too fast. Got 2 caneras in the office. Every 2 days. Dead. Im returning them.

    They work ok, but really wish they worked with the nest app like the others we have. Also, since you really need to hard wire them in order to get all the streaming, they should at least have the option of buying wired ones.

      Nest Cam (battery) has been designed with versatility in mind, it’s an outdoor/indoor battery powered device out of the box, and can be used with a set of various power accessories including two weatherproof cables with power adapter. You can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged.       Motion detection for Nest Cam (Battery) can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
      1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
      2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
      3. Restart your Camera.

    Great value for the price. Does more than the gen1 outdoor camera at a lower price. I love how you can either plug it in for 24/7 recording and has a battery back-up just in case the power goes out. I just hope the gen2 doorbell has this same feature.

    Not a good product. Camera batteries only last a few weeks without being plugged in. Camera quality at nice is awful.

    I purchased these with the hopes of adding some security to my home. I am very disappointed with this product. The connection is absolutely horrible!! I can’t even place this outside of my house because of the connection. Even with this sitting next to my router it won’t work very good. Also you can only use the Google Home app and it is trash. I can’t view my live camera feed, but it will record video and I am able to view it. It just recently started doing this. I really should have returned this product and regret that I didn’t.

    Nice camera and the convenience to put basically anywhere within wifi service. Otherwise a trash product from Nest. The biggest problem I have is they do not work with the Nest app, where all my other cameras are. Only on Google Home. Problem two which isnt as big a deal just annoying I knew they were battery yes, however I expected the charging cable to be a simple usb perhaps. No, not the case it is a specialty magnetic cable that to get one with any sort of length you have to purchase it separately.

      We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

    This product only records when it is tripped. so I'm driving into my garage and I guess I'm moving too fast as it only recorded the back half of the car. I'm sitting here now and my lawn is being watered and it is in the security zone and the cam didn't pick it up I tried to olive and it only stayed live for about 3 seconds and would not reconnect the video but I could still hear sound. So I'm going to say that this particular cam is defective, because if it isn't, its a junk product and Google should get out of Nest's business.I have 6 other Nest cams that work great. This cam is junk

      Nest camera issues can be related to several factors, and we’d be able to identify the underlying issues better if we can get more details about your concern. Meanwhile, if you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. If your camera is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points. Try restarting your router to reset your internet connection. You should also restart any Wi-Fi range extenders or repeaters that you have.     Nice cameras but the batteries were terrible. One didn’t hold a charge and the other one ran out too quickly to be efficient in our climate. Returned the item. Will buy hard-wired cameras.
