These do not work with the Nest app, they kind of work with Google Home. Took me 7 hours ( most on tech with support) to finally get both cameras working. You can’t continuously record unless you are plugged in and they only come with one plug. Frame rate is awful. They work intermittently. I would never buy again and I certainly would not migrate my existing Nest account to Google home. The Google Home app is garbage compared to the Neat app. This is not a reliable solution for a cordless camera

We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices.

On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features. Sticks to a magnet out side hold up in all weather conditions doesn’t work so well past -30 degrees but it will tell if it won’t function any more . Long battery life.

Person detection works amazing. Love that it has a battery, so if you lose power, it will save events. Great product, will be buying more.

They are much more responsive with notifications than the older cameras.

Since you pretty much have to plug them in every other day, they are not wireless. They shape of the camera looks chic, but it is not practical. Hard to face camera in exact direction of your choice due to it’s shape. Placement of charging cable is poor as well. When the camera is plugged in, you have limited options on positioning. Since the camera does not hold a charge for long, it must be plugged in often.
