For both of them, the Auto setting for night vision is not reliable. I have to continually go to the settings and turn night vision off, then turn Auto on again. Basically, the Auto feature is not Auto at all and I have to do this daily on both cameras (in different structures and on different networks). I have read reviews from others with this same issue where they did a factory reset of the camera and still had the issue, so seems to be a camera and/or software bug. Other than this, I am completely satisfied with everything else.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.has a wide view and really reliable to track the movements that want to be recorded. lets you turn it off on the app and has a speaker option where u can speak off the camera when youre away. if u wanna save all recordings you do have to subscribe to a google membership for it. but all my google cameras pay for 1 subscription so its pretty neat.

Previously had a Lorex system that I spent $1,000 on and it was horrible it was constantly disconnecting from the internet and so unreliable. I have 5 of these cameras and I’ve never once had an issue with the cameras. It’s so great when something actually works! They also have a good look.

I wasn't happy when I found out. Unfortunately and bad design decision.

We hear your concerns about viewing your camera feeds, and we’re aware that longtime Nest users like you enjoy viewing the camera videos using the Nest app. However, our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices along with Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras, like you, can view your camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

Best indoor camera ever

Also, I have a Nest door bill camera and this work perfect for a window that I have this in to see on the other side of my house that’s in my window. It’s amazing at night and doing the day I would totally recommend to anyone. It also has sound on it so you can see any and all motions throughout the day it will alert for any and all things literally I would totally recommend to anyone.

Super easy to install in 5 minutes or so.

But this camera wouldn’t allow me to add it to my nest app for a one stop easy access. I would buy again if it was my first purchased camera, easy to set up and great quality.

The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
