    Bought this instead of a baby monitor camera. Better deal and linked right up to my google home network. It works great with my nest display, and notifies when it detects movement. When we travel I aim it at my driveway and get a notification whenever it sees movement.

    Great and fantastic camera but why does it not have a feature to alert you when there is sound like a dog barking but the nest hub max has that feature. Makes no sense. I want this feature as my dog likes to bark and would like to know when he is doing it

      Hello DakO, thank you for posting your review. We're sorry to learn that your experience with Nest Cam (indoor, wired) has been less than ideal when it comes to notifying you with sound alerts. Be advised that with a Nest Aware subscription, you can send different alerts for different sounds. Your Nest Cam can tell the difference between a person speaking and a dog barking. You can pick which sounds you want to get alerts about and which ones your camera should ignore.     Camera works very well, and was easy to integrate into the Google Home App. Movement notifications are smart, and doesn't overload with unnecessary alerts. The cord was a good length as well

    If you're intergrated into Google Home as much as i am and don't need the cameras to be anything more than to monitor a pet or things indoor while you’re not home. These are your cameras.

    I have multiple Nest cameras. The older ones run on one app, which is great! The newer models run on a different app, which isn't nearly as user friendly.

      We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app. However, the Nest Cam (battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with our other Google Nest devices. We also wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Other benefits include the following:
      - Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
      - Your Google Nest devices and services will work together.
      - One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
      - Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

      Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view.
