    Very reliable. Have owned other cameras and this camera’s response time is great. Would recommend over many others. Now own 6 of them. All wired and use inside out outside under eaves in Texas heat with no weather issues.

    camera is a bit pricey and did not work as expected. was a bit hard to set up the camera and only worked intermittently.

    Works great but can’t stream

    Overall I like the camera. It was easy to setup. Video is of good quality on my iPhone. Issue I have is Google has blocked the ability’s to stream to another device, like a TV. The Nest doorbell camera is allowed to stream

    Green light always on.... why.... oh, because it is a recording. The light bothers me, sorry, I put it in my house. Why do i need a light

    I got this too install in my kids room. Works as intended and is easy to install. Decent image quality and works seamlessly with my other Google displays.

    The camera hardware is amazing, picture is very sharp even in night vision, microphone picks up even the faintest sounds. The camera itself also looks high-end and not out of place no matter where you put it. The Home app however is the worst piece of software Google has ever created. Video history is "missing" half the time, motion detection is extremely hit or miss, and scrubbing through the events is painful. I don't know what happened because all these things worked great on the older generation of Nest cameras. Until Google fixes the Home app I recommend you look elsewhere.

      Our priority with the recent launch was to build a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. We wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. Here are some other benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired):
      - Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
      - Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
      - One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
      - Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.
      - If you´re willing to try, you may set up your Nest cameras to the Google Home app. Here´s a guide that you can follow: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9893532

      Video recording is mostly triggered by the motion detection of your Nest camera, which can be also affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
      1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
      2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
      3. Restart your Camera.

    Picture is great, face detection is really cool! This thing is very well made and much sturdier and heavier than the images suggest. Plus, you cannot beat the subscription value, esp. if you have all Nest cams.

    I'm really not impressed with this camera. It turns off and if i'm not at home, I have to literally not have any feed until I come home and unplug it and plug it back in. I have dogs and I need to be able to see what they're up to during the day so this is very inconvenient for me.

    Not as good as original Nest cam

    Not as good as the original, the original nest cam app is superior. The old app you can much more easily scroll through your sight line time lapse. At least the hardware is cheaper.

      We understand that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices.

    Great interior camera! Zero complaints!

    The camera is easy to set up and works fantastically to catch and record moments of interest. The Google Home app AI does well to recognize faces and animals. The field of view is surprisingly wide. The audio is crystal clear. You get more than what you pay for.

    Bright pink corrupted video -- unusable

    The image quality degrades and becomes bright pink after the camera has been powered on for 12-24 hours. Support claimed it was overheating, but it's in a north-facing Window that never gets sun at any time during the day. It's indoors at 69F and 45% humidity. Replaced the camera and same issue with the new unit. Never had this problem with other products used in the same location. Will return it and try something else.

      if your camera or doorbell’s video looks bad, but it has a good Wi-Fi connectionand is not exposed to direct sunlight, this can happen if your camera gets too hot or too cold, and can be avoided by these:
      - Avoid placing your camera near objects that can cause overheating like light bulbs, lamps, large equipment/appliances, air vents, etc. Your camera needs good air circulation. Never install it in any kind of small box or enclosure as this can cause overheating.
      - Your doorbell/camera's video might also have a pink, blue or purple hue if there's a problem with the Night vision. You can check this link to learn more about the night vision video quality: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9259738
