This is a fine camera if you just plan to have one or 2 in your house, but any more than that and it gets messy with settings and trying to view camera history. If you need more cameras or want more settings options go with Wyze.

We recommend getting the Nest Aware subcription to get the most features with your Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired) that include 30 days of Video History, 24/7 continuous recording, access to clips and time lapses and even customizing your own activity zones. You won't ever have to worry about missing any events as these videos and clips are all saved onto the Cloud. All these features can be viewed and controlled at the tip of your fingertip using the Google Home App.

Google Home is absolute trash to say the least! You can't view your cameras via a website and the app is horrible. I hope they remedy this soon otherwise I will be looking for a new service.

We wanted to make the Google Home app the one place where you can control all your favorite Google Nest devices and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired):
- Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
- Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.

When the microphone is on, your device's microphone picks up sound in the area around your camera. If your camera has event video history or 24/7 video history, your camera’s audio is recorded in your video history as long as the microphone is on. I love the old system and wish I would have bought something different than this new system.

For clarification, the Nest Cam (Battery) is able to record up to 10 days of 24/7 video history if you have the Nest Aware Plus subscription and the device is connected to a power source.
