Perfect to supervise my kids while they stay alone at home as I work. Easy to talk to them without waiting until one of them picks a phone or anything. Just talking straight out to them on the cam, we can choose together their dinner so I buy it and send it to them. No more rush from farmlands to the city and I know they won´t have upside down the house when I arrive after work.
It setups in minutes with Nest Hub scanning the QR provided with the cam. Use it with Google Home on your phone. Is a great pairing, google tv, cams, lights, air conditioner, all together. I can manage temperature as kids always want colder. And I see them when doing so. So I can see who is guilty of charges all the time.

The hardware itself is high-quality and durable, but the software (via google home) can sometimes be lacking.
Good option if you are looking for a quick/easy to set up camera with pretty high quality video feed.

I purchased this Nest camera to install in my basement so I could watch my young children playing in the play area while working upstairs. It was worked very well and was very simple to set up and start using. I can easily pull up the video feed on my smart phone or from the Nest Hub that I purchased as well. The field of view on this camera is very wide and I'm able to clearly see the entire area. I would definitely purchase another one if I need another area covered.

I already had the Nest doorbell camera, and I was looking for an accompanying indoor camera to keep an eye on my dog when I wasn’t home. I chose the Google Nest wired indoor camera to fit my needs.
The first task I had to do was migrate my Nest doorbell camera to my Google account, since the Nest account does not accommodate the Google indoor camera. Once the accounts were merged, the process of adding the Google Nest camera was very easy. Using your smart phone’s camera to capture the smart label on the camera identifies all the information needed by the app to begin the setup process. Within five minutes and after accepting the google user agreements and naming the camera you’re up and running.
The camera gives you the option to mount the camera on a wall or the ceiling or use the camera’s stand to place it on a flat surface. For my application I chose to place it in a cabinet to keep it out of site. The app gives you three hour history look back and Google-Nest have plans for you to capture longer history from the camera. All in all this is a very good indoor camera for keeping an eye on your home while you are away.

We set up our camera in one of our sheds to monitor our feral cat and it’s done well throughout all seasons! Never lose connection and the night vision is perfect. We are looking forward to buying additional cameras for the rest of the home.

Really nice camera; well built and heavy. Picture quality is perfectly adequate. For the $100 price, it’s a solid camera if you are in the Nest ecosystem. Unlike the new outdoor/battery cameras (which I also have), this unit records 24/7 video vs just event history. If you aren’t in the Nest ecosystem, there are cheaper alternatives that offer the same video quality and similar features. Also note, annoyingly (and this has nothing to do with the camera itself) Google’s migration from the Nest app to Google Home isn’t complete, and this camera isn’t compatible with the Nest app, which impacts the user experience for those who already have older Nest products.

I dont know if this has a bad resolution or it was my eyes ( kinda blind) but i cant see nothing clear , even tho is a good product but the waiting line just to get someone to help me it was mor than 30 minutes .good peoduct . It dont take like a bunch of space where you can put it an hide it from other , naaa that was easy to hide

Great cameras, simply setup. Now that they've moved to one price for the entire house, no matter how many NEST cameras you have, it's pretty good value. What makes NEST a lot better than the other brands is the 24/7 recording. RING cameras only record 30s which isn't enough time.

If you're already part of the Google/Nest Home ecosystem, then this is definitely the camera for you. I have two properties that I monitor, 500 miles apart. I previously used Arlo battery-powered cameras connected to solar panels. Both cameras suffered the same hardware failure after less than two years of service and I replaced them with these. What a difference. I changed the monitoring location to a more sheltered area where these camera could be plugged into AC mains all the time (as they must be). That solved all the environmental problems I used to have with the Arlos' batteries being either too hot or too cold to charge properly. That also solved the problem of having to do hard resets with battery pulls. I also experienced a 7-second-plus lag when monitoring the Arlo cameras, both locally and at the remote location. With these Nest cameras, it's less than a second, effectively negligible. The video quality is superb. The data throughput is peerless. And finally, the facial, object and motion recognition is both more accurate and less prone to false notifications. You can designate familiar faces, so that you don't have to check the video feed every time you get an alert. You simply get an alert that says "Your annoying neighbor Cletus detected on Front Door camera." (Don't have to check the feed.) Or, "unfamiliar face detected." (DO have to check the feed.) In short, a tremendously reliable, fast, useful camera. Highly recommended.

The camera quality is good and since it's a wired device, I have not had any issues with connectivity. For an indoor camera, you won't be disappointed. For install, when you take the sticker off the camera itself, don't throw it away as it has the QR code and you will want it for an easier installation.
I am just not much of a Google Home app fan. It just lacks the ability to set alerts that make sense. I have all alerts turned off because you cannot set it up to only get alerts from specific times of the day. I have yet to research other options but I'm sure there is a solution out there.

The video and audio quality for this camera is much better than the 1st Gen camera that I just replaced it with. It has a heavier base that makes it much more sturdy as well. The only downside is that I can't use my 30' USB cable that I purchased for my 1st Gen cam since the new camera has the cable built in. I'm sure I can get something else to extend it if needed but the built-in cable seems to be long enough for now. Other than that it's great and worth the update from the previous gen camera.

Just what we were needing. Very easy setup (I already had the Google Home app) and it looks classy on my bookshelf. Quality of the camera is much better than my former camera. I highly recommend.

Great product! We needed a wired indoor solution. Affordable, sharp, great functionality! Nest has always been easy to install with great setup guides and intuitive interfaces. If you're reading this review, you already know you should buy!

Years ago, I started off with Ring cameras, but after upgrading one camera to Google Nest, I had to upgrade them all. The quality of the motion detection is far superior, but the setup process is horrible. The nest devices do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi and to get them to connect, after wasting a couple frustrating hours and starting over and over, I found that temporarily disabling 5GHz during setup resolved this. The worst part is that google support only provides useless fake/canned responses. They are so obviously canned auto-responses as they repeat your question in their useless response and do not answer the question and mark the topic as closed so that you cannot even follow up. Also, they still rely on BOTH the nest app and the home app to get multiple devices to work together, and you cannot find this anywhere in their documentation. They are far better than Ring, but they have a long way to go a leave a lot to be desired.
Hi MRGabe! Thank you for sharing your experience with the Nest Cam (indoor, wired). We are glad that you find it far superior to your previous cameras in terms of motion detection quality, but we're sorry for the frustrations you've encountered during the setup process. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible home security solution.
