    Works great! Easy to setup and great picture. Reason for the 4 stars is it doesn't work with the Nest app...only the Google Home app. This leaves for a disjointed user experience which I'm sure Google will rectify over time.

    I was looking for an indoor security camera and this one fit my needs perfectly. Easy to install and picture quality is excellent. Pairs nicely on the app with other nest products like the video doorbell.

    Great camera. Fedback can be an issue if you are close to it when you are reviewing footage. Got it on sale so worth buying.

    Great audio and picture quality. I just think the notifications don't work as well if you don't purchase the google nest aware subscription

      Also, there's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your doorbell is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. Our goal is to give users more options. With event video history, we wanted our products to help our customers understand what’s going on at home easily and highlight the important activity for you. For people who want to see everything that happens at home, we offer 24/7 video history on wired Nest Cams with a Nest Aware Plus subscription. We continue to invest in the use of both technologies

      Event detection and notifications depend on the doorbell settings that you select. You can choose which events your doorbell can detect and record (people, motion, package, etc.). From there, you (and each member of your home) can decide which of those events to get notifications for. If an event is turned off, you won’t get notifications for that kind of activity. You can also change the settings like adjusting video quality, wake-up sensitivity, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.

    Super easy to setup. Great build quality and the audio and video quality was so much better than previous security cameras I have used. However, I am a little bummed that Gen 2 products do NOT work with the Nest app.

    I love Nest camera’s, but I hate the Google home app camera interface. It is clunky and annoying. You also can’t mute the camera if you view the live feed even if you turn your volume all the way down. I dropped ease of use to 2 stars because of this. Google needs to allow the use of the Nest app again. It’s really unfortunate. I’m keeping the camera, but I will continue to complain about it. I would only recommend this camera if you don’t know how awesome the Nest app is.

      The new Nest Cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant.     I love them. I bought the annual subscription so I can keep a log of the videos. The clarity is amazing, the night vision is fantastic, and I feel much more secure now I have them on my home

    No factory reset button

    I plugged it and and got it hooked up and the video was great during it's test. When I went to use it the video sucked. I then disconnected it and same thing happened. The third time I went to set it up, it wouldn't connect, said to do a factory reset, couldn't connect. His camera does not have a factory reset button, nor does Google support have any instructions on doing that thru software. Disappointed, because I have all google products and the nest doorbell is great. I would have exchanged it, but couldn't figure out how to do an exchange online at best but. So sent it back defective.

    The camera is great and an improvement to the Nest indoor cameras. However the Google App is horrible point blank! It’s hard to enjoy the hardware when the software keeps crashing constantly!

      Here are some suggested troubleshooting steps you can try out:
      - Check the OS version of your mobile phone device. We recommend the following versions:
      Android phone or tablet with Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone or iPad with iOS 14.0 or later versions.
      - Try updating the Google Home app by going to the Google Play Store and searching for the Home app. Once you find it, tap on Update.
      - Try installing the Google Home app, using the same account, on another mobile phone or tablet device, and see if you will experience the issue.
      - If you don't experience the same issue with another device, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app on the main mobile phone device.

    Decent camera but I wouldn't consider them an upgrade to the older Next 4K camera's. And these cameras only show up in the Google Home app along with older Nest camera's; they do not show up in the Nest app.

    Takes unflattering photos of faces unrecognized. Knows the difference between a car driving by, or people. It can also hear sounds like a smoke detector, and recognizes what it is. Very smart google.

    It works great, but not compatible with Nest. I tried to add to my thermostat and had to get a whole new google app. They want you to merge, but I am not interested in changing over, so now I have two apps.
